It's been a bit since I've written for this book. Sorry about that but here's another chapter to continue the plot. No hints for the selected pokémon rival this time though.

The ground was damp and the sun only partially shined into her face. When she opened her eyes, she was confused as to why she was in a so much overgrown underbrush. Sitting right next to her as still as a statue was her dusk form Lycanroc, Rei. He seemed tired and hadn't noticed that (y/n) was now awake.

"Rei? Hey buddy, do you know where we are?" (y/n) asked. Rei immediately snapped his attention to her and went to her side. (Y/n) sat up and took in her surroundings.

"Quick question, how long have we been here?" (y/n) asked when she realized her own fatigue. Rei pawed the ground three times to answer. He was rather smart of course and could answer yes or no questions as well.

"Three days?! No, I need to get back home. Everyone must be worried and Moon...she's a threat that needs to be dealt with," (y/n) said as she stood up.

Rei suddenly went on defense and looked in a particular direction. Rei suddenly darted forward and whatever he was after began running away.

"Rei wait! Come back," (y/n) called as she ran after him and whatever he was following. As she did though, (y/n) began to hear someone saying something, or at least that's what she thought it was.

"Oh no, it saw me. I won't be able to outrun it at this point!" a panicked voice said. (Y/n) couldn't pinpoint its source though.

"Hey, stop!" (y/n) called and then she heard the voice again. She wanted to know who was speaking.

"There's a person too! That can only mean...no, please. I need to get away. I have to get away," the same panicked voice said and again, (y/n) could not determine its source.

They were leaving the overgrown area and heading into what looked like an abandoned city. There were tropical plants everywhere despite this fact. They covered buildings and parts of the road and even street signs. (Y/n) could now see exactly what Rei was chasing and she nearly stopped in her tracks.

"Hau, stop! Wait!" (y/n) called. He didn't listen though and kept running away until he reached a nearby building that seemed to be a pokémon center. He tried to pry the doors open but they wouldn't budge. When he realized that Rei was catching up to him he panicked and ran again.

"I said stop!" (y/n) yelled as she ran faster to catch up to Hau and Rei. Hau went to the next building, which seemed to be an apparel shop. Again Hau tried the door but it wouldn't budge so he went through the broken window. (Y/n) heard him yelp which wasn't a good sign. Rei stood at the window when he got there and looked back at (y/n) who went to the door.

"Rei, use Stone Edge on this door," (y/n) said. Rei did so without hesitation and it was then that she heard the voice again.

"No, no, I don't want it to end like this. I have to live," the voice said. This time, (y/n) had no doubt about this voice's source. Rei used Stone Edge on the door causing it to be demolished and (y/n) went right in.

Hau had curled himself into a corner near the window. He started to cry once he saw her and he tried to back into the corner even further although he couldn't. He was also hurt. The glass from the window that had been on the floor had cut on of his legs and a piece of glass was still lodged into his arm.

"Please, let me go. I swear I won't say anything, I don't even have anyone to tell, just let me go. Please don't kill me," Hau pleaded as he cried even more. Rei was about to walk over to him but (y/n) stopped him.
