Look who wrote another chapter! Yup, it was me. The story continues!
____________________________________"Hey, Hau, calm down. She has a story to tell us. Go make sure your pokémon are okay," (y/n) said as she stepped between Hau and Moon, the photo still secured in her hand and the other in her bag. Moon had stayed true to her word and set Hau and Lillie free from their comas.
Lillie was extremely confused since she had supposedly been in one ever since her capture but when she saw Hau, she was relieved and realized she was being saved.
With both of their pokémon safely with them, (y/n) had brought Moon amd Necrozma into the room to apologize. That was when Hau had almost attacked but of course (y/n) stepped in, quite literally. Hau reluctantly returned to where Lillie was playing with Hau's pokémon, no longer afraid of it after Hau jad explained to her what had happened.
"Okay, Moon. Sit down and go ahead and tell us your story so I can go home," (y/n) said. Moon eyed the photographs that (y/n) handed her before she spoke.
"I wasn't always called Moon. I used to have your name actually. I'm not even from Alola as you probably already guessed," Moon started. (Y/n) wasn't entirely shocked by this since she had already assumed such.
"That boy in the picture, we both know him as Sun. He and I used to live in this protected city where all of tbe pokémon were on the outside and we were on the inside. It was peaceful and beautiful there."
"Sun loved to go to the very top of the tower to see the surrounding area outside of the dome whenever he could. He loved going there at night too because the tower lit up even brighter. You see, Sun was always in and out of the healthcare center, but you call it the pokémon center where you're from don't you."
"Sun had a condition that kept him from experiencing the world the way he wanted to but I always came to visit him. We were best friends afterall. He was probably the kindest person in the world and he always seemed so happy all of the time but on the inside, he was always hurting and I never knew why until it was too late."
"Sun had gotten out of the healthcare center that day, in that photo that you're holding. He was actually genuinely happy that day because I'd brought him a gift. He asked that we take a picture. He must have known that his condition was worsening. It's all my fault..." Moon said. She was now crying as she stared down at the floor.
"He told me that he had a question to ask me but he didn't get to. He had to be rushed to the healthcare center that day so I met him there. He asked me then and like a idiot I said no. I can't believe I said no. I thought I was protecting him. I didn't want him to get so attached to me," Moon continued.
"What did you say no to?" Lillie asked, which surprised (y/n) a bit since she didn't know that Lillie was listening.
"He asked me if I loved him. I didn't really know myself but I should have said yes anyway. They took him to do surgery and he was cured afterwards. They'd found him a cure," Moon answered.
"If he was cured them how did he...?" Hau said, purposely not finishing his question.
"Sun wasn't permitted to go home until he recovered from the surgery. He seemed fine and kept talking to me as if he'd never asked his question. He seemed fine before I went home that night. They later told me that after I did leave, he couldn't stop crying. He died that night...of heartbreak. I was devastated when I found out."
"They gave me his journal saying that he wanted me to have it, as if he knew he'd die anyway. I read it and found that he wrote about me almost everyday but he used a code name for me and so I decided to change my name to that code name."
"After that, I became obsessed with getting him back. I'd heard rumors of a life giving pokémon and I sought after it only to end up empty. I wanted to start over and so I moved away to Alola. I ended up liking Gladion and I told myself that I would not be regected and yet I was. I still am, and it isn't fair," Moon said.
(Y/n) slapped her, not because she wanted to (well maybe a little. She did kind of do a lot of things), but because she deserved it. Moon didn't even seem phased by the slap either.
"You're selfish. Sun gave you everything. His time, his trust, his love, his life...and you denied your own feelings. Then you find yourself in his situation only for you to retaliate and try taking what you want. That's not what Sun would have wanted! You aren't the Moon he fell in love with. Why are you doing all of this? None of this is you," (y/n) said.
"I gave up on winning Gladion over by force but my feelings for him are still there. I really still love Sun and so I intended to bring him back by forcing the pokémon of life into doing so. All it takes is a little mind control," Moon said.
(Y/n) could see very clearly that there was no hope left for Moon. She was gone. Her mind had been lost in everything that she had been doing. Whatever was left of the original Moon was still slowly diminishing.
"Hau, lock her away. You can deal with her later. I want to go home now. Will you be able to heal the rest of Alola from here on out?" (y/n) said as she stood up. Rei and the three rockruff made their way to her and sat by her.
"I think I'll manage. Besides, you're forgetting what our motto is," Hau said. He sported his signature grin which (y/n) was glad to see.
"To unite pokémon from all around. To find the truth that is yet to be found. From here to the far reaches of ultraspace, our mission will be carried out in every place," (y/n) recited. Hau gave her a thumbs up and kept his usual grin to which (y/n) couldn't help but laugh at. Moon did nothing, seemingly reflecting on whatever she was thinking.
"We'll have to throw you a leaving party or whateber it's called before you go though. You can't just leave Team Eclipse like that," Hau said.
"I don't see why not. Then we'll get Necrozma to open an ultra wormhole and I'll head out with Rei," (y/n) said but the three Rockruff began to bark and circle her.
"Okay, you three can come too," (y/n) said, laughing at their adorableness and pulling out three pokéballs to claim them with. She could finally go home. Moon's story madeher realize that there was something she needed to do when she got back to Alola.
If she didn't tell him, it might be too late when he found out. Hopefully, for the sake of their friendship, he hadn't already found out. (Y/n) pushed the thought aside and focused on what was going on around her. She had a celebration to get to.
