23- Katherine

CHAPTER 23

LOKI'S POV

Four days past and I'm still here. I lay on my bed staring up at the ceiling. I still haven't decided what I am going to do about the tesseract situation. I sighed loudly and closed my eyes.

Before I could drift off to sleep an annoying voice came from the door.

"How are you, my darling?"

I opened my eyes to look at the door which was now open. Sigyn was leaning on the door frame not bothering to hide the fact that she's checking me out.

"I was fine until I was kidnapped," I remarked closing my eyes again and trying to ignore her in hopes of her taking the hint and leaving.

Sigyn only laughed at me. I always hated her laugh. It always seemed so fake and forced.

"I'm pretty sure you're wondering why I'm part of this whole kidnapping charade." Sigyn closed the door behind her and sat on the edge of the bed. The second she sat down I stood up and stared down at her.

She seemed hurt by this, but I couldn't care less. The things that she put me through were unimaginable. And now after all these years, she barges into my life again right when I'm finally happy again. And she ruins it by kidnapping me. I'm supposed to be getting married right now!

I could have been with Katherine happily married preparing for the arrival of our unborn child.

"Loki" she sighed standing up as well.

"Whatever you have to say to me forget it. I don't want to hear it." I glared at her.

"If you're still upset about the whole pregnancy thing I- "

"I am traumatized! I have been drowning in my misery ever since that day! Do you have any idea how I suffered the past century? I blamed myself, I blamed myself for letting you do what you did that night. I blamed myself for letting it even get that far. I blamed myself for if I had been more responsible it would have never even happened."

Tears stung in both our eyes as we stood still staring at each other.

All of a sudden Sigyn cupped the sides of my head and pulled me down to her, connecting our lips.

Instantly I pulled back, wiping my mouth.

"What are you trying to do?"

Sigyn looked shocked at my rejection. "I thought that-"

"You thought wrong. I love Katherine, and she loves me. If you and Thanos hadn't kidnapped me I would have married her by now. Why would you even kidnap me Sigyn?"

"To save you from that awful arranged marriage that your parents are forcing you into."

"They aren't forcing me to do shit." I looked down at her sighing. I almost felt bad for her. Falling in love with someone who is promised to another must be really hurtful. But that doesn't excuse her behavior. She's mental if she thinks to keep me hostage is going to win me over.

She looked up at me and smiled excitement in her eyes. "In that case, you could just call the wedding off!"

"Why would I do that?"

"So you could marry me instead. We could even try for another child. Right now, if you want!"

Honestly this is exhausting. At this point I wish Thanos was here instead.

I rubbed my temple groaning "For the last time-"

The sound of hurried footsteps caught my attention. Suddenly the door Froze and broke into several cubes of ice.

Katherine stood behind the cold pile panting. She looked up at me and smiled at me in relief.

She ran to me and I picked her up spinning her with joy as she laughed.

When I finally put her down Sigyn pulled us apart.

"What is the meaning of this? Where is Thanos!?" she shrieked hurting my ears.

"He's dead." Katherine glared at Sigyn who was now red in the face.

Sigyn launched herself at Katherine causing them to both fall on the floor.

I tried to do something but was held back by the stupid chain on my foot.

"Get off her!" I yelled at Sigyn, knowing fully well that she wouldn't listen to me.

Sigyn and Katherine were throwing punches and kicking each other. Katherine sent multiple ice blasts missing each time.

Sigyn pushed Katherine forcefully onto a nearby table. The table hit her lower abdomen.

"Katherine!" I cried as she weakly rolled onto the ground, blood staining the floor.
