Ronald MacDonald is the name inherited by the first born male of each new generation of MacDonald's. It had been since the original Ronald MacDonald died in the Battle of the Somme. The youngest Ronald is the fourth such Ronald to inherit the name. It is a name he shares with a cousin once removed and his grandfather.
Every morning Ronald gets up early, his alarm is set for 6.25am. He walks to the newsagent at the end of his street to pick up the newspaper. He's done this every day since he was 11. The only exception to this routine is when he and his parents go to Murrays Inlet for two weeks every Christmas, and one time when he had his wisdom teeth out and had to stay the night in hospital.
