"I don't trust him." I say to Lamar. "He'll go for the flag immediately."
"I know." Lamar says. "He tried to kill you, I will never trust him." He pauses, looking around. "We'll get that flag, he's too noticeable, he knows nothing about sneaking around, he'll get shot."
"What are you looking for?" I say, there wasn't anything to look for when he paused.
"Anthony, the other team, anything that was worth looking for." That makes sense.
Then I see something, I grab Lamar's arm and crouch, Lamar looks at me like I did something wrong. I point in the direction of whatever it is that I saw. It comes closer, soon it is close enough to be recognized as a person. Then someone from our team, then-Anthony. His gun is raised, he's looking over the top of it. I close my eyes so he doesn't notice me as he walks by.
After Anthony is out of hearing range I whisper, "I don't get it, why is he walking away from the flag?"
"I don't know, he's acting like he's on the other team. He could be sticking to our agreement." Lamar says.
"I don't believe that, he wouldn't just give up, he wants that flag. I'm sure he doesn't remember which building it is so he's searching every single one around here." I pause and look at Anthony again. He can't be sticking to the agreement, he can't be. He turns towards us, he must be patrolling the area, why is he staying here? There's no way . . .
He turns around again. "Let's go." Lamar grabs my wrist and pulls me up, we run for the building that has the flag hidden at the top. "Go for the flag, I'll cover you."
"Okay." I run for the doors of the building as fast as I can. There are stairs and an elevator behind it, Lamar is right behind me. "Stairs or elevator?"
"Both of us take the stairs." He says. "They'll see the elevator coming."
"But they'll hear us running up the stairs."
"Then you take the elevator, I'll take the stairs, they won't know what to do."
"Okay." I run for the elevator and hit the 'up' arrow button. The doors open, I walk in and push the 6th floor button, I thought there would be more floors in the building, I guess not. After a few minutes the doors open again, I see a number six on the opposite wall. I walk out of the elevator and run to the side of it.
I hear shouting, I look behind me, Lamar is here, he looks at me and glances at the other side of the elevator. I look over to the other side of the doors, I see a green glow- the flag. Lamar fires his paint-ball gun at a few people, some initiates see me and shoot. I jump forward, dodging the paint-balls, when I land I run for the flag.
"Jade, watch out!" I hear Lamar yell, I turn back and see the paint-ball guns aimed at me, fingers on triggers, I duck, I feel the paint-balls flying over me, missing me by about an inch. I get up. The flag is right in front of me. I run for it and snatch it from it's post.
I walk over to a hole in the wall and yell. I got the flag, victory is mine, now I feel like I have gotten my revenge, it must have been because I didn't get both Alice and Anthony back for trying to kill me, until now. Just a few things to do today. One- have a good rest of the day. Two- don't die. Three- don't get attacked again. Four- spend today, or what I can, with Lamar.
Today will be amazing as long as all four of my plans happen and happen the right way.
