I gasp and sit up immediately, I know I just went through my fear-landscape, and I did things I would never do in life, but I got through it, even if the Dauntless know about me.

I don't see anyone next to me, but I do see three people watching the monitor next to me. They're laughing like it's their job.

I see a door open, a few people come through it. Stephanie, Lamar, and someone I've not seen before. Lamar smiles at me, but I can't return it, I'm too shocked by what I had to face and the fact that three Dauntless members are cracking up laughing at it.

"Congratulations, Jade." Zach says. He walks in front of me. I get up so I don't have to look at him so long. "Final rankings will be announced in two hours. We know one rank, you'll be ranked first. So, because you're a Dauntless member, they're is one last thing before you enjoy your two hours." Zach pulls an injection out from behind him. It looks like a simulation syrum, but I'm not suppose to go through anymore of those.

"Why are you putting me into another simulation? I'm done with those." I say. It might not be a simulation syrum, maybe just dyed that color.

"It isn't really a simulation, just a tracker, in case you're reported missing." He say.

        "How often does that happen?"

"Not often, just in case, though."

I glance back at Lamar, but he can't do anything to stop them, I have the best chance of doing that. I don't want to be a soldier that'll help end my old faction, just like what happened to Abnegation.

"I don't believe you, it looks like a simulation syrum." I say.

"It was dyed the wrong color! Just let us inject you!" Zach sounds irritated, he is yelling after all, and he's saying things that don't help his side of this conversation.

I glance at Lamar again. He just stares at me, he might be under a simulation, I'm sure he was injected with this stuff. My heart pounds against my chest, like it's trying to break through my skin.

"Why? Why was it dyed the wrong color? Don't you need it color-coded to figure out which one you're suppose to inject people with?" I ask. My voice is slightly raised, but not to the point where I'm yelling.

"Hold her still." Zach tells the other Dauntless members. Almost all of them come running at me, all but Lamar. I drop to the floor and roll to the side, dodging the Dauntless members. I hear Zach yelling at Lamar. "Obviously they can't! Go get her!"

A feel Lamar's hands wrap around my arms. I try to break free of his grip, but he's following orders, I'm just glad he isn't under a simulation. Lamar pulls me up and holds me in place in front of Zach. I feel a sharp pain in my neck, but I'm used to it.

Lamar releases me, but I don't run away, as Zach likely expected. "Now, you're almost one of us, Dauntless rebel." Zach says to me and walks away. I glare at him as he leaves. I see the other Dauntless members in the room leave until there's just Lamar and I.

        "Stella." Lamar says.

"Do you know what this is?" I ask him, my voice more demanding than I'd intended.

"No, but you're right, it looks like a simulation. Though, Zach told us both the same story, so it might be true." Lamar says. "Let's go back to my apartment."

"Okay." My voice is tight, I don't want to be afraid of him, but I don't want us to move too quickly.

        "Are you okay?"
