CHAPTER 18: Now Let's Get Down To Business

I didn't mean to leave Penny alone with a couple of Mr. Radcliffe's men but I knew how I was going to get our son back and it was going to involve me possibly not returning. 

Mr. Radcliffe had taken me to a warehouse that he obviously owned and as we walked inside, we started walking over towards the big crowd of men in the middle of the place standing around a table and preparing themselves with guns and other weapons to get ready to head over to Sterling's place. 

"Alright gentlemen, give my man here a gun or two." Mr. Radcliffe says to everyone as he grabs one from off the table for himself. 

One of his men handed me two guns and one switchblade. Then after we were done getting ready, I heard Mr. Radcliffe start to address everyone, causing everyone to turn and look at him. 

"So, tonight we need to make sure that not just Sterling but Framez also gets what they both deserve. However, be careful and keep an eye out because our biggest reason for doing this tonight is because my friend, Cade here, his son has been taken by Sterling and we need to get him back." He addresses to everyone. 

They all look at me and then look back up at him and nod their heads in agreement. Then we all start heading towards the dark tinted window SUV's outside and started heading towards the house. 

While on our way over I began thinking about Penny and what life would be like if we didn't have to worry about things like this. 

"Damn." I say quietly under my breath. 

"Everything's going to be fine, don't worry." Mr. Radcliffe pats me on the shoulder. 

"Yeah." I tell him. 

I feel really nervous and am starting to worry if rather or not I'm able to pull any of this off and get Charlie back safely. I haven't done this kind of thing in a long time and feel a little nervous like I was doing all of this for the first time. 

We pulled up across the street from the front gates that protected Sterling's huge mansion and all started to get out and spreading out all over while Mr. Radcliffe, me, along with a few other of his guys start making our way towards the gate. 

Once we get to the gate, Mr. Radcliffe looks over at the camera from the security cameras and at first I wasn't sure if they would open the gates or not. 

"I was wondering when you both were going to show." We hear Sterling say over the speaker. 

The gates then begin to open up and we began walking up the driveway towards the house and as we got a few feet away from the front door, it opened up and there standing in the doorway was none other than Framez, pointing a gun at all of us. 

"Long time no see buddy." He greets us sarcastically with a smirk. 

"You son of a...." I began to say but Radcliffe stopped me. 

I quickly began breathing in and out trying to calm myself down before we headed inside and ended up giving up our weapons to Sterling and them before then being patted down. Once we were 'cleared' of any weapons, we began following Framez towards a back room where Sterling was at. When we finally went into the room, I noticed a bunch of his men along with all of Mr. Radcliffe's men were all standing around and all had their guns drawn at Mr. Radcliffe and me while the couple of guys that came in with us drew their guns and pointed them towards us. 

"You sneeky little shit." Mr. Radcliffe tells him. "Touche." He says to Sterling. "You turned my own men against me. Very clever." He says. 

"Thank you. Now, let's get down to business."  He grins.
