dally and i have been hanging out for a while this past month. johnny and i? well, he's been hanging out with ponyboy, cherry, and marcia. dally has actually changed. he's been being nice to me, protective, and will sometimes listen to my stories of me being away from my parents.
"hey dally!" i said getting into two bits car, two bit let dally borrow his car for a while so that meant me and him are going to be riding around for a while!
"hey darlin'!" dally said giving me a hug. dally has been saying lots of amazing things bout me. i like johnny and all but i feel the more i am getting close to dally, the more my feelings go crazy around him.
"where we goin'?" i asked dally as put on some sunglasses he bought me. "i don't know. let's just see where this ol' car takes us." dally grinned and started the car and we drove off.
we passed by the Nightly Double and i saw johnny with marcia. but i had to put that aside and have fun dally. we stopped at a place i've never been before.
"where are we?" i said getting off the car. "i don't know but let's just relax a while." dally said grinning.
we sat under a tree and watched the view. dally put his arm around me and i grabbed his hand. he seemed happy like never before. i grabbed his chin and kissed him, sparks were flying.
it felt like i've never kissed him before. i opened my eyes and saw dally's face. he smiled and hugged me tight. we went to go to the diner, well dally went because i got kicked out.
"here's you milkshake darlin'." he said smiling as i got my milkshake. we drove around the town and shared lots of memories together. we finally arrived home and got went up to the porch.
"so bout that kiss..." dally said scratching his neck. "oh, yeah...you kissed great." i said laughing. he just grinned and held my hand. "do we tell everyone bout...um...us?" dally asked me.
"i mean i'm down to tell them but it's your choice too." i said looking at his hand. he sighed and nodded as we went inside holding hands. everyone stopped talking and saw us. "shit." dally said under his breathe.
"so." darry said clearing his throat. "what's this?" i looked at everyone and johnny, and smiled "we're dating."
everyone looked at each other but johnny kept looking at me which gave me anxiety. "wait what?" two bit exclaimed. soda smiled so did ponyboy. steve and two bit had a shocked face, and darry he had one eyebrow raised. johnny he didn't have an expression on his face.
"you guys are what?" darry asked. i smiled and kissed dally. i then turned around and saw everyone shocked. "i said we are together. boyfriend and girlfriend." i told them slowly.
"dally met me outside, rubi we'll talk later." darry said going outside. i looked at everyone, pony and soda wanted to talk to me. "can't believe it!" soda said. "our little sister is going out with dally!"
"i'm 16 and so is ponyboy so..." i said trailing off. "who cares! but why dally!" pony asked. i then noticed two bit, steve and johnny were also hearing. "i like him. he changed a lot! he gets me, he listens bout my stories of me being away from you guys. he saved me from those socs! he's a wonderful guy!" i said looking at everyone.
"just please take care of her! i don't want to lose someone i love, we love!" darry yelled. i looked at everyone and went outside. "and you don't break dally's heart." darry said going inside.
"guess you got a big speech huh?" i said laughing. "ha yeah. you are so damn wonderful rubi, you know that right?" dally said giving me a hug. "haha, yeah i know."
we went inside to just hang out like the gang we are. now that dally and i are together i don't what me and johnny are. i'm happy with dally but johnny has been ignoring me. last time i tried talking to him he walked away and went to talk to marcia.
i made dally a better person, and i'm not going to change that. "hey see ya tomorrow, i got to go." dally said giving me a kiss on the cheek.
"bye!" i giggled as he said bye to everyone. soda made me a kissy face and i threw him some popcorn. pony told me that cherry and him are a thing but they're keeping it low key for a while till it the right time to say.
he also told me that marcia likes johnny and he told johnny, so he's tryna make her happy for some reason. everyone started to go home or somewhere else, "hey congrats with your new boyfriend." johnny said touching my arm and leave.
new boyfriend? i don't get it. i went to bed and started to write a poem. poems sometimes let me express myself or calm myself. i didn't finish my poem because the only word i wrote was;
melting.
i fell asleep dreaming of how me and dally would be happy together and no problem will be in our way. but sometimes we never know.
