WE GOT DRESSED and headed down stairs. Just as I was about to open the fridge, Ashton closed it and spun me around to face him.

"We are going out today." He grinned and walked to the island.

"Oh yeah? Where?" This was surprising because I never went out. Only to The Intersect, anyway.

"You'll find out soon enough."

"Hey, didn't I say that before?" He didn't say anything as he put on his jacket and headed out. On my driveway, there was an Uber waiting for us.

"H-how?" He pulled me inside and we sat down on the car's fine leather.

"To Simon's Cafe, please." The driver nodded and started driving.

"Ash. I'm broke." I said, patting my pockets. Ash only shook his head and smirked.

Ashton started ruffling his dirty blonde hair. Making it look better than before. It was messy but, stylish.

He caught me looking at him and I quickly looked away.

"Ah, so now you like staring at me?" I lightly punched him on the shoulder and laughed.

When we arrived, I could already smell the baked goods and warm coffee from outside.

I closed my eyes and caught myself in the embrace. Ash took me by the hand and lead me inside.

"I'll have the Cinnamon Bun, please. Oh, and a nice cup of hot chocolate, too." The waiter wrote my order down.

"I'll have the same except for some coffee with that." She nodded and walked away.

"Haven't you ever noticed how different we are from them?" Ashton raised an eyebrow.

"Like, the way they dress, talk, eat, laugh...the list goes on and on." I explained to him.

"I would speak a bit quieter so they don't think we're aliens from another dimension."

I laughed. "But seriously, look around." The people here were very blonde and had designer clothing. Many looked like they were from the 1980's.

"I guess you do have a point."

We ate and talked, laughing at every word we said to each other.

"I'm telling you, if Beyoncé fell, everyone would think she's doing the death drop." We exploded laughing at Ashton's weird random comments.

Once we settled down, Ashton leaned into my ear.

"I do have another surprise for you." He whispered.
