"SHOULD I BRING this?" Ashton held up one of the many sweatshirts he had in his closet.

"You already packed 7, Ash." I raised my eyebrows at him and he laughed.

"What's one more?"He stuffed it and we closed our suitcases, packing them away in the corner of his room.

Since it was Friday, we wanted to pack now instead of last minute.

"Hey Kev." I nodded to him as he walked down the hallway.

"Hey." He walked into his room and started playing loud music.

The Wills' house was one way to live, alright.

I closed my locker, heading to math, one of my worst sub-

"Watch where you're going, Scars." Everyone in the hallway laughed at Everleigh's bad joke.

"How about you watch your mouth?" I yelled standing back up and picking up my light blue binder.

Everyone murmured and asked themselves what Everleigh was going to do next. I rolled my eyes as she thought of a good comeback.

She suddenly grinned. "How about you meet me in the playing fields at 6 this afternoon. We'll have an FNF." She crossed her arms, knowing that I would chicken out.

FNF stood for 'Friday Night Fight'. The name was so cliche but, they rarely happened, anyway.

"I'm up for it. I don't know if your face is." I pouted at her and she made a teasing face.

"See ya later, Scars." She waved to me, walking backwards and into the big high school crowd.

"Hi, can I order two medium size pizzas? One cheese, one Hawaiian." Ashton called Dominos as I sat down taking my phone out.

"Scar, I was wondering if after our late lunch you would wanna go somewhere? Like, ice skating at the mall or something?" He sat next to me leaning on my shoulder.

"I actually can't. I have, um, a project to do later."

"What subject?"

"History." It hurt lying to him but, I didn't want him to know. He would never even let me step foot out of the house if I had told him. I wanted to prove a point.

A very bad one.

I looked at the time.

5:48 p.m.

"I actually have to get going now. See you in a bit." I kissed him and headed out the door.

With only my phone and a bit of dignity.

Leaving what I needed most: Ashton.

"Oh my god, get out! She actually came." Everleigh was wearing her hair in a side ponytail and even with that, she couldn't stop touching it.

"I'm here. Now what?" I crossed my arms and tried standing my ground. The tiny bit of dignity that I had, slipping away.

"Now Scars, you believe in gender equality right?" Everleigh shouted so that the huge crowd that was there could hear every word.

"Yeah." I looked around, taking in everyone there. Some people I knew but, most I didn't.

"So you have no problem fighting my boyfriend, right?"

Everyone in the crowd gasped, others laughed, others were so in shock they froze.

"Bet." I said, uncrossing my arms and cracking my knuckles.

When the guy came he hovered over me only by a bit. I was tall, but not taller than him.

"Josh." He held out his hand. As I went to shake it, he threw me on the ground.

I stood up and punched him right between the eyes. He flinched for more then five seconds, giving me a chance to go at him again.

Punching me over and over, I managed to still stand up and kick him, right in the spot.

He grunted, looking me right in the face. He got even more frustrated and angry by the millisecond.

He went for my face, but I blocked, twisting his arm until he begged to stop.

With the bloody nose, soon to be black eye, and beat up lip, I went home.

Knowing I had won.

I slammed the front door and went directly to the kitchen, going to get ice.

"Hey." Ash said. I froze, not turning around.

At least he can't see my face.

"Hi." I said, getting out the ice.

"So can you tell me where you really were?" I could hear him sit down on the island, my heart beating faster and faster.

My heart was trying to run from the truth, knowing that I could never escape it.

"I told you." I tried laughing it off.

"I'm in your history class, Scar. I know you. Don't lie to me." He stepped closer.

"It's not important." I tried my best not to sound hurt, or like I could barely speak.

I really couldn't.

God, who knew Josh can be so strong.

"Scar..." He put his hand on my arm.

I grunted, everything was hurting.

"Scar?" He quickly turned around revealing my ugly beat up face: Dirty blonde hair all over the place, my lip bleeding, my nose bleeding, black eye and my light brown eyes, shining with guilt.

"Honey?!" He looked heartbroken as he screamed, terrified.

"I'm sorry." A tear came out of my eye.

He pulled me in and set me on the couch. "Who did this?" His voice was stern.

"Everleigh tripped me today and she told me to meet her at the playing fields at 6 for a fight. Little did I know it was a fight between me and Josh, her new boyfriend."

"You didn't have to do it... She forced you-"

"Ashton....I agreed."
