Scarlett

The unknown girl goes over to him and gives him a hug. Again, who is she and what's she doing here?

"I've missed you..." She starts touching his shoulders but, to my surrender, Ash pulls her away.

"Rose. What are you doing here?" He tries to walk backwards but she just ends up basically following him.

Scarlett, what are you doing? Do you realize that you're still holding the door wide open, and have a dumb-founded look on your face?

I shut the door as quickly and quietly as I can, not wanting to miss a second of this.

Wait... Thats's Rose! The Rose! The Miss "I Broke His Heart and I Don't Care" Rose!

"I just told you..." She chuckled and bit her lip. "I miss you."

Scarlett, do something!

I cleared my throat, awkwardly, and she slowly started walking towards me.

"Who's this? Oh, are you one of his cousins or something?" She smiled and crossed her arms.

"Rose, she's my girlfriend." I was glad Ashton was the one to speak up, I would've stuttered my journey all the way to embarrassment.

I tried to stand a bit straighter and lift my head a little taller.

She laughed...hard. "You're joking right?" She touched my shoulder and continued laughing. "You got me there."

"I am. It's Scarlett." I didn't show any emotion but, Lord knows how much I wanted to scream at that very second.

"Rose Ernell." She put her hand out. I shook it, only to be polite.

"Rose, why are you here?" Ashton was now the one crossing his arms in annoyment.

"I came to see you. It's been so long." She chuckled, again. "I almost forgot what it was like kissing you."

She looked directly at me when she said that. That stung, badly.

There was a moment of silence.

"Anyway, I don't have a place to stay so..."

Kevin popped into the room. "Rose?" He stared at her with a blank face. I could tell he wasn't very fond of her either.

"Hey Kevin, I was just telling Ash here that I didn't have a place to stay and since you're his guardian, I can easily let the officers know that you rejected me in the freezing cold weather. Am I right?" She held a sympathetic look on her face.

What is she trying prove?

Everything was going great.

I could see the uncomfortableness portraying on Scarlett's beautiful face.

Don't worry baby...I'll get her out of here fast enough.

"So then when I went back to the car, it was gone!" Rose laughed at her story, although she was the only one laughing.

Rose had her ways, they were always dark. What she said to Kevin wasn't anything new.
