If You Only Knew

Chapter Nine

"Hello?" I heard Raven say as she picked up the phone.

"Hey, is this Raven?" Josh asked.

"Ummm yeah, who is this?"

"This is Josh Hutcherson, I found your number in my pocket and thought I would give you a call, how are you?" he said.

Raven froze at that point and was completely silent for a good ten seconds.

"Hello?" Josh said.

"I'm sorry!" Raven blurted out. "I just can't believe you actually called me! Oh my gosh! Hi, I'm good! How are you?"

Josh laughed and looked at me.

"I'm doing great! I was just out taking my dog for a walk when I met up with your-"

I cut Josh off by shaking my head and motioning for him not to continue. If Raven knew I was with Josh and didn't tell her she would freak out!

"Umm, I mean some fans of mine, and it reminded me that I needed to give you a call and say hi!" he covered.

"Wow! That's so cool of you that you take time for your fans!" she exclaimed.

"No problem! I love connecting with my fans. So I'm curious as to how you managed to get your number in my pocket without me noticing?" he asked.

"Oh, well I slipped it in there when I put my arm around you to take a picture!" she said proudly.

"Oh sneaky!" he said laughing. "Well it was nice talking to you and I hope to see you again one day! Josh said, winking at me and giving me butterflies I couldn't control.

"Yeah definitely! I look forward to that day!" Raven said.

"Goodbye Raven."

"Bye Josh!"

Josh out his phone back in his pocket and looked up at me.

"You know, that was really nice of you," I said. "You definitely just made her day and she won't forget it." I looked back at him and smiled.

He smiled back at me and I couldn't help but notice how cute his smile was.

"Well I should probably get back before she starts to wonder where I am," I say grabbing my keys out of my pocket.

"I'll walk you back to your car," Josh offered. I accepted his offer and we headed back in the direction we came from.

"Well it was nice to meet you Josh," I say.

"It was nice to meet you too Bella. I hope we can see each other again soon." He says.

"I would like that," I say, trying to calm my nerves and not realizing his next question would set them on fire.

"How about Wednesday?" he asked.

Oh my gosh. When he said he hoped to see me again soon he was being literal. He actually wants to see me again soon!

"Umm, y-yeah, Wednesday works!" I managed to spit out.

"Perfect! Why don't you put your number in my phone then and I'll text you the details!"

"Okay," was all I could say.

I felt like I was dreaming. Never in a million years would I have imagined that a big star would have wanted to hangout with me. Never would I have imagined that I would like Josh Hutcherson this way! It was all I could about on the way home, leaving me with a big smile on my face. But what am I going to tell Raven...
