I woke up around eight o'clock the next morning, which was earlier than normal. I walked into the kitchen to make some coffee and as I passed the front door I saw the shoes I wore to the event, reminding me of last night all over again. I still couldn't make sense of any of it. Maybe I had something on my face and he was trying to figure out what it is? Or maybe he really was into me? That can't be it. He's a celebrity and I'm a nobody. Besides, I probably won't ever see him again anyways. However, the thought of it being a possibility gave me butterflies and I don't know why. I don't even like him like Raven does! Ughh.

I decided that since Raven was still asleep I would go for a walk along the beach to clear my head. Maybe I'd be able to make sense of things afterwards. I put some jeans on and a sweatshirt and threw my hair into a messy bun. Grabbing my keys I headed out to my car and drove to a small beach ten miles from our apartment.

It was a gorgeous morning for a walk. The cool, fall air felt refreshing against my skin. Walking along the beach I began asking myself questions again, trying to find a logical reason behind what happened last night. When I finally thought I had come up with an answer after about half an hour, I heard a dog barking and looked up to see a cute grey and white pit bull barreling towards me, tongue out, tail wagging. I crouched down just as he reached me and started petting him, letting him lick my face. I heard footsteps quickly running in our direction and someone shout,

"Sorry! He loves meeting new people!"

"It's okay, I love dogs!" I said as the owner approached.

"What's his name?" I asked, looking straight up into those unforgettable hazel eyes.
