I woke up Friday morning to my phone playing ‘Really Don’t Care’ by Demi Lovato. I recognized it as my text ring tone so I quickly rolled over and grabbed my phone to see that I had a text from Josh.

Good morning Beautiful(: -Josh

Well good morning to you too:) -Bella

Are you excited for tonight? -Josh

Absolutely! Can’t wait to wear the new dress I bought! -Bella

Well I can’t wait to see it! But how am I going to be able to pick you up without Raven seeing? –Josh

Don’t worry, she’s going out with some friends tonight so she won’t be here! –Bella

Perfect! Well I’m going to go take Driver for a walk so I gotta go. Pick you up at 8? –Josh

Sounds perfect. –Bella

Awesome, see you tonight! –Josh

I still couldn’t get over the fact that I was going on a date with Josh Hutcherson tonight. It felt too good to be true. I laid in bed another half hour before finally getting up and making breakfast. I had no plans made for the day and neither did Raven so we decided to lay on the couch and watch Netflix until we both had to get ready to go out. It was around six o’clock when Raven left and I couldn’t wait any longer, so I went to my room to shower. I was so excited that I was getting antsy. While in the shower I got lost in my thoughts once again and a million questions went through my head. Would he like the dress? What would he wear? Where were we going? Will he still be interested in me by the end of the night? Oh my gosh what if he tries to kiss me!? I couldn’t control my thoughts. Once out of the shower I put my robe on and blow dried my hair. I decided that since I was getting all dressed up I should curl my hair, so I made some soft, bouncy curls all over. They looked perfect. It was about 7 o’clock when I finally finished my hair and I couldn’t wait any longer; I had to put my dress on. I put it on and stared at myself in the mirror before twirling all around my room, giggling like a little girl. I paired my dress with some cute white high heels and a silver clutch and finally walked into the living room around 7:30. My phone went off and I ran to get it, hoping it was Josh saying he was coming early. I was so excited and couldn’t wait to see him.

“Hey Bella, umm, I’m really sorry but I’m going to have to cancel tonight. Hope you’re not too upset. Talk to you later –Josh”

My stomach dropped as the tears started to flood to my eyes. I knew it was too good to be true. A big star with a random nobody. I ran to my room and threw myself down on my bed, trying to tell myself not to cry but it wasn’t working. I knew I shouldn’t have fallen for it. My phone went off again as I got a message from a number I didn’t know.

“Hey Bella its Raven, my phone died so I’m borrowing a friends. My ride left me so I’m going to need you to pick me up at the big hill next to the park.”

“Alright, be there soon. –Bella”

I dragged myself off my bed and forced myself into my car. I didn’t want to do anything but sulk in my own misery. Why did I let myself fall for it? For him? How could I be so stupid?

It didn’t take long before I was at the big hill. I waited for five minutes before I called the number Raven texted me from. No answer. Great, now I have to go get her. I got out of my car and started climbing the hill which was extremely hard as I still had my heels on. I saw lights as I started approaching the top and figured it had to be Raven and her friends. However, as I got closer I noticed that a blanket was spread out on the ground with a picnic basket in the middle. The lights were strung through the tree branches of the big tree at the top and there was music playing. Not party music, but soft, soothing music. I got to the top and looked around for Raven, but instead found someone else. Someone I recognized, even from the back.  It wasn’t until he turned around, and I was staring into those hazel eyes, that I knew exactly who I had found.
