"Bruder? Is that your voice?" Asked Germany through the computer screen while his eyes widened in hope, and Italy's, for the same reason, went into that state when it DIDN'T look like they were closed. The girl, meanwhile, was still focusing her subconscious solely and completely on the communications frequency for the Hetalia universe, keeping her eyes closed and channeling what the person on the other end of the line, who seemed to be Prussia, was saying through the screen whilst her crystal remained in its bright glowing state. If she lost focus now, the communication would end, so she had to continue, in her mind, holding on to that correct sequence of numbers tightly.
"Ja, it is me, the awesome Gilbert Beilschmidt! Kesesese~!" Cheered the voice on the computer, speaking from an entirely different dimension, although the sound of it, coming from an electronic device, came out ever so slightly more metallic. Ludwig, at what his elder brother said, put a couple of his fingers on top of his forehead because of his brother's nature, especially since he'd kicked into his 'awesome' mode in only his 2nd sentence speaking to them so far.
"Germany-San, is Italy-San with you?" A softer, more calm male spoke out on the other end of the line, which almost made Jenny lose her focus again. It was Kiku Honda.
"Si, I'm right here, Japan!" Squeaked Feliciano loudly.
"What happened to you? I had heard you 2 were on your way to my house, but you seemed to have disappeared." The Asian nation's voice enquired.
"While we were on our way, we inadvertently happened to run into an interdimensional gate which took us from our own world to another one parallel to it. We're both safe and perfectly fine, a girl from this world found us when we arrived und we're currently in her flat." Replied Lud.
"I presume she's a beautiful little Fraulein?" Said Gil expectantly, and this very nearly caused the girl's concentration to slip away in an instant and was added together with a brief but gentle little chirp from his pet, Gilbird. Germany sighed almost silently.
"We are currently trying to draw up ideas for a way to get you home." Continued Kiku.
"There's no need, us and the girl who we met have, together, found a means of opening this gate again so that we can cross from this dimension to another." And then the muscular country proceeded to cut out the excess stuff and just get to the crucial, main points, but still inform the other 2 main members of the Axis Powers about the gem and the powers it had programmed into Jen's DNA, and the transuniversal energy its materials contained that had mistakenly pulled open the fabrics separating the 2 different sides, causing the portal to appear, and how the power in the gem would be restored enough to open the gate again in a rough estimate of a couple of months.
"Alright. I understand. We shall wait for you and inform the others on your current condition." Said Japan in acknowledgment.
"We hope to see or hear from you again soon, West. Auf wiedersehen for the next 2 or 3 months probably und remember, the great and awesome Prussia will always be thinking about you!"
"Arrivederci!" Italy, in addition, bade his other pair of friends goodbye, and, hearing everything that had been said in the last couple of minutes and now knowing that the power sustaining this communication link was about to run flat like phone battery charge, the glasses-wearing woman let herself come back from the world of computer codes and opened her eyes, with both the binary code on the screen and the swirling glow of the crystalline object fading out to pure blackness and its normal tone respectively.
The time it took was a mere second before Jenny impulsively clutched her forehead with both hands and winced, as the energy from the gem that she'd channelled from her mind into the PC stretched across to an entirely different realm, so it had taken just a little bit off a phenomenal amount of power to pull it off, even with her now enhanced biological capabilities, so this headache was, effectively, a sort of splashback from it. Now the interdimensional energy residing in the object was so low that they'd still have to wait the same amount of time before they could open the gateway, but they could also not send any more communications to the Hetalia world until that time, either.
Ludwig and Feliciano instantly detected her pain, even if if was nothing serious, and so they leaned down towards her level as she was still sat down, placing their hands on her shoulder and looking at her with concern.
                              "Ve~, are you okay, signorina?"
                              "Are you hurt?" Added Germany.
"No, not very much. It's just a bit of a twinging headache from me keeping that phone call across worlds running. I'll be okay in a minute I promise." She looked up and smiled to let them both know.
"Sehr gut." Nodded the smooth-haired one. "I just don't want you hurting yourself to help us." He told her, at the same time as finding a weird, unique feeling rising in his gut upon seeing her smile.

After this, the morning had sped by into the afternoon and then the evening several hours later, when, just after she'd finished work for that day, the girl had said goodbye to Eleanor, who left on her way back to her own flat, and was walking through the car park of the grocery shop back to her BMW after having just picked up provisions on her way home, carrying a translucent white bag of the stuff in one hand and her car key in the other, her footsteps clicking as if to the tune of some new acapella song across the ground, dodging the puddles scattered in random places as best as she could, although you'd have to be a ninja or a superspy to avoid all of it.
Then something was detected, making her flinched because of it startling her. Something behind her moved, and a feeling, a nagging doubt in the back of her head was insisting that it wasn't a normal passer-by. So, ready to defend herself in case, for whatever reason, the presence behind her was hostile, she swivelled round in a flash and gritted her teeth in anxiety. However, what came to her when she did was that there was no one behind her. Barely a soul in sight. Her muscles let themselves relax at this despite the darkness around her at this time of day still proving to be quite eerie, but that was completely normal, so, after turning her head in all directions to double check, she concluded that it was just her mind playing tricks on her and continued the last few meters towards her car.
But the one thing she didn't know was that, hidden out of her sight but in a place where he could see her, a figure was taking notes on a small notepad about her behaviour which he'd been observing for the last day.

"Okay, I'm back!" Jenny called out, shutting the front door of the flat behind her as she entered.
"Guten abend." The Central European answered courteously, stood in the doorway to the kitchen.
"Ciao!" Came another reply from in that room, and, after removing her coat and putting her car keys in the secure location where she usually placed them after getting home, she took the groceries into the kitchen (with Germany moving out of the way to allow her to get past), where the brown-haired Southern European was stood by the counter a few feet away.
"I got the things for tonight's tea." She told Feli, taking out of the bag a packet of spaghetti, along with some bolognaise sauce, some meatballs and some cheddar cheese for grating. Because tonight was the night when he was going to teach her how to cook pasta like he did.
"Bueno!" The lively shorter nation said, and then they immediately set to work while Ludwig watched them from the doorway, smiling to himself at the scene. "So, what you're gonna want to do first is boil some water..." Italy began.
