"Almost there, keep your eyes closed..." Said Starfire to her sibling, whose eyes were shut because the former had told her that she had something to show her. As well as her being told about everything and revealing her telekenetic ability, both she and Sandra had recently gotten jobs working on weekday evenings at the same library that Eleanor and Jenny did, so this meant all 4 members of the Zensairan quadrangle could see each other even during working hours.
"How much further, Starry?" Asked Sandra with a slight laugh as she was guided by the other holding her hands as if she was blindfolded. All she could see at the present moment in time was complete and utter blackness on the inside of her eyelids, equally giddy in an excited way and nervous because of anticipation for what might be awaiting her.
"Just a few more steps, I swear." She answered, and the older one could tell just by the tone of her voice that she was smiling right now in a silent chuckle.
This went on for another few seconds, until after yet more of being lead with her eyes closed like this, she detected the younger Zensairan suddenly stop walking. Without either of them saying a thing, she could then hear the faint sound of a door creaking open before being ushered inside.
"Okay, and... you can open your eyes now." Starfire informed. And so she did this, to which she was greeted by the exact same sight her orbs had shown her a few seconds ago when her eyelids were still closed: complete and utter pitch blackness. It only took a moment, though, for the one whose hair colour would blend in perfectly with this darkness to flick the light switch, illuminating the entire room and everything in it.
"Happy birthday, Sandra!" England, Jenny, Eleanor, Italy, Germany, Russia, America, France and just over half a dozen others exclaimed instantly after the light was turned on and she could see them. There were streamers hung in places around the room and even a poster on one of the walls that had written on it, 'Happy Birthday to you from all of us, dudette!' with the words being drawn in numerous different coloured crayons.
There was nothing she could do to stop a massive grin from forming on her face. "Thank you so much, all of you! This is really kind!" She placed both sets of her fingers on her chin, right below her mouth. "I presume you were in on it, too?" She turned to the one behind her.
"Of course I was! You didn't seriously think I was gonna just stand by and not help put together my own sister's birthday party, did you?" The telekenetic girl answered while adding a tiny background laugh in her second sentence.
Sandra turned back around to face the others again. "Well, as I said, thank you. All of you. This is really sweet."
"Almost as sweet as this?" Eleanor asked, beaming as she moved aside to reveal that sat on the small table behind her was a birthday cake with the number 21 on the top, which was 2 candles put next to each other, one being the number 2 and the other was the 1. Lining the middle of the outside of it like a belt were flags of the world made out of coloured icing. The rest of the icing covering the whole thing was red, with what appeared to be orange flames (also made of this same type of icing) along the bottom to represent her ability, and the birthday girl herself's eyelids grew even wider.
"Me and Ells have been working on this together all day, so this is the fruits of our labour." Said Jen proudly. "Or should I say the sugar, eggs and flour of our labour." She quipped with a smile.
"Ha ha, very funny." Her frizzy-haired friend rolled her eyes.
After that, the party was a huge success. A few of them felt giddy due to having a blast, and when Prussia told some jokes, Italy, America, Jen, and Sandra were close to crying from laughter. Germany, England and the other more serious nations, too, couldn't help but chuckle at a couple of his terrible puns. Cake was shared out equally, with the inside being a plain sponge along with a band of chocolate icing, and the girls also showed the countries more episodes of the Hetalia series.
