S2 E1: The Reincarnated Year [Part 2/2]

The door to Sandra's flat 5 minutes later, back in the Zensairan trio's own world, opened with a slight creak as she entered through it, placing her keys as usual in the bowl she always kept on top of the cabinet next to the doorway. This created a little bit of a clinking noise as the small pieces of metal cut into specific shapes to fit the lock for the door hit the bottom of the bowl, a sound so tiny that it was like a single grain of sand on a beach.

Just as she turned around to flick the light switch in addition into the 'on' position, with her back being to the lounge, not only did she detect the presence of another person behind her, which made the minuscule hairs in the back of her neck stand up on end like soldiers about to march into battle, but she also heard behind her a gentle, almost inaudible sound:

"Hon."

A French laugh.

"Why bonjour again, mademoiselle Kohnka..." Purred the man behind her alluringly, who, after she switched on the light, was revealed to be France, laid out across the glass coffee table in the famous 'draw me like one of your French girls' pose. In his right hand, he was holding a sparkling glass full of deep red wine, with his elbow next to his head on the table, and his other hand was laid down on the table with the rest of his left arm, his fingers wrapped around a scented candle, with its light gently fluttering about on the top. He appeared to be surrounded by numerous other types of scented candles, all circling around where he was like a ring of them.

"Francis, what are you doing here...?" She quirked her eyebrows as she asked him this. "And how did you even get in here? Until I arrived a few seconds ago, the front door and the windows next to it were all locked!"

"How I managed to get in is for moi to know, and for you to find out, darling." He smiled playfully at her. "You know, I went to the hospital today. The doctors told me that someone had stolen my heart." The blonde West European then continued with his flirting plan, blowing her a kiss with his middle and index finger using the hand that had just been around one of the candles. "You wouldn't happen to know anything about that, would you...?"

There was nothing the brunette could do to prevent a bit of a laugh from escaping out of her mouth upon seeing him like this, as Arthur was her biggest crush, but France was still a little bit of an infatuation in the series too, along with America and Canada. So this was almost like the fanfictions she often indulged herself in, in which he would display his typical romantic nature to the reader due to being known as the country of love.

"Oh? I amused you! You look so beautiful when you smile. But then again..." After taking a couple of sips from his glass of wine, he placed it down on the table he was posing on and approached her, holding the gaze of her green-blue eyes with his own glimmering sea-blue ones. In her mind she could already picture him making an epic kissy face while doing the French laugh all day. "...You are always beautiful whatever expression you wear on your face, ma Cherie. Honhonhon..." He finished his sentence and began to reach out in order to gently caress the hair in the side of her head with his fingers.

However, he was soon cut off when, making them both almost leap a few inches into the air and even causing Francis to yelp in startlement for a second, the front door behind them which was the entrance to the flat abruptly swung open, slamming loudly against the wall it hit as it opened and exposing them to the freezing cold air of an evening in January, but to a lesser degree than outside because they were obviously standing indoors right now.

And there was a certain figure standing there in the open doorway, whose aura of hot, fresh anger could be seen radiating all around the outline of his body like nuclear energy, with his thick eyebrows lowering themselves in diagonal positions right above his eyes to express this emotion, glaring in a way that if looks could kill then Mr. Bonnefoy would have been long dead by now.

"You!" Growled England through his tightly gritted teeth. "Get your bloody hands OFF HER, YOU FROGGY GIT!

"Iggy-face, you shouldn't intrude! It's proper manners!" The older country made an attempt at scolding him, but this had no effect on his long-standing rival, who ran in, quickly shutting the door behind him, and roughly tackled the longer-haired male to the ground.

"What the hell do you think you're playing at, cheesy monkey?!" He yelled as the pair of them grabbed the other by the collars of their shirts and shook their opponent like a rag doll.

"Well I can say the same to you, bursting in like this!"

"Arthur, Francis, come on! Do you really need to fight again right now?" Sandra said with a slight trace of a sigh, trying to get them to stop, but her efforts proved to be futile as they both carried on yelling things at the other in yet another of their heated arguments she had seen many, many times in the series.
