And so, after this discussion, the trio of subjects made certain in their heads that they would memorise every behavioural and technical detail about the men holding them in that lab, to find out what their weakness could be and how they could use this to escape. Although, when the taunting came their way, Ludwig and Jenny were finding it especially difficult not to lash out and release their anger and for the latter to not spit up onto Keates' face again like she'd done earlier.
The tests and procedures continued all throughout the rest of Saturday, December 8th, with the leader lamenting that soon he'll have to start carrying out surgeries on them as a form of dissection while keeping the subjects alive. What made it even more frightening was that he didn't mention a specific date or time frame, so 'soon' could mean any time after that day. But they consoled themselves using the mental reminder that they'd be breaking out of that place on that current night.
Later, at the end of the day (when Martin had assigned one of his men to stand guard outside the cell door for the night whilst he himself slept in his office), the 3 of them had been roughly thrown back into their cell, feeling drained once again because of the chemicals put in them, but this was their most favourite time of the day because this was when they, at long last, got the chance to put all the pieces of their puzzle together. A puzzle which was their plan to reach freedom.
"Alright, one of the things I saw was that Keates, who's the one carrying Jenny's crystal around with him all the time, was holding it in his hand instead of in his pocket," Germany was the one to start the discussion of their plan, "so there's a possibility that he might have put it down somewhere."
"When we get out of this room we'll have to look for that first. I'll need it to transform into my armour." She added her input.
"But how are we going to get out of here?" Said Italy.
"Set a man to watch all night, watch all night, watch all night. Set a man to watch all night, my fair lady." The girl began to sing quietly to herself, suddenly realising now that for some reason she'd had London Bridge stuck in her head for the last few minutes like how most people usually get songs stuck whirling around their heads for a while, and that these 2 verses she'd ended up memorising in particular were her brain's way of telling her how they could escape from their cell. "Suppose the man should fall asleep, fall asleep, fall asleep? Suppose the man should fall asleep? My fair lady."
"What's that?" Lud enquired upon hearing her singing this.
"Since a few minutes ago, I just randomly got the song 'London Bridge' as an ear worm. Y'know, like when people get a song stuck rolling around their head for an entire day. And those 2 verses I just remembered are our way of getting out of this room!" She answered excitedly at her own realisation before telling them both what her newly discovered idea was and how they'd pull it off.
After discussing it amongst themselves and agreeing on the final details of it, as well as another short while to go over the actual other parts of the rest of the entire plan for escape, the shorter male piped up,
"That's a molto buene idea!"
"Ja. Well done, I agree there's a good chance it could work." Nodded the German, placing his hand onto his chin and smiling at how well the process of gathering pieces of the scheme was proving to be.
"Then let's do it. The rebellion of the guinea pigs starts now." She stood up proudly and did a daring grin. "So first things first, Feli, do you think you can lay down on the floor and groan? So as to attract the attention of the guard outside?"
"Si, I can do that!" He did the thumbs up.
"Good. Then when you do that, leave the rest to me and Ludwig, okay?"
