It had only taken Jenny, who'd transformed into her winged armour form during the 150-foot fall, a few minutes to fly back to the area of her tower block with the 2 Hetalia characters being carried on a wing each due to her enhanced strength, while they were hidden by how dark the sky was by now. First, she'd flown to where they'd left her car right before they were abducted yesterday and they'd piled in as she drove it back to the tower block, then after the drive, they got out, went inside and up the stairs to the floor where her flat was, unlocked the door and went inside, locking the door again behind them. This was because of how wary they were about Keates and his men returning to that tower block to recapture them, so they wanted as much security on the flat's exit as possible.

As soon as they'd locked the door, while Feli and Lud flopped down onto the sofa from exhaustion, the girl went into her bedroom and let herself fall onto the soft, welcoming duvets and pillows of her bed, buring her face in the sheets in her weariness and her colossal relief that she and her friends had made it out of that lab alive by just the skin of their teeth, so right now she wanted nothing more than to lay there on the comfort of her bed for an eternity, to fall asleep forever. She let a tear of happiness roll down her cheek as she smiled to herself in bliss.

Although she couldn't, because they all knew that the mad doctors would return at some point soon and this time they'd REALLY mean business.
But thanks to the beauty of some macaroni cheese and chocolate shared out equally between the trio (which felt especially like heaven due to the malnourishment they'd suffered at the hands of Martin), drinking cans of Diet Pepsi and watching some of the Hetalia episodes with the Axis Powers in them, for a few minutes they simply couldn't care less about this.

The 3 of them had agreed amongst themselves to take turns keeping lookout just in case the men returned in the night, as they knew where she lived, so Italy was first up for doing this, as he couldn't really be relied on to be able to stay awake any later than about 9 PM, and after his turn was over when that time came, he'd wake her up, whose turn for being the watchdog would be next, and then the blonde would be able to handle the very late hours, which were from 11:30 PM onwards.

Late that night, about 10 o'clock, Jen was in front of to the window beside the door, using the chair from her computer desk a few feet away to sit on during her turn to keep watch and holding the gem in one of her hands, ready to transform into her armour and draw her sword if anyone hostile put on an appearance. Eventually, after a long while, half an hour, to be specific, of just sitting there, keeping her eyes fixed on the landing outside and on the car park down on the ground floor, she became so bored and got into such a philosophical mood as well that she got up, being careful to not make too much noise in order to let the pair of personified countries continue sleeping and picked up her coat before putting on her boots. Then she put on her duffel coat on top of her pyjamas and silently crept out of the door after unlocking it, shutting it behind her as she got a full blast of the frosty wind, being completely undeterred because of the lack of the sun's presence.

She went to the staircase at the end of the landing, past the other flats on that floor, and quickly went up to the roof, feeling a lot more excited at the thrill of going up there all by herself at night, and when she eventually reached it, she was shivering a little on the areas of her body unprotected by her coat because of the roof being higher up, so it was closer to the cloud, the source of the wind.

Anyway, she got straight to what she'd came to do, so she stood right in front of one side of the railing encircling the entire roof, placing her hands on its metal and remaining less affected by the coldness of it because of her powers. The purpose of her going up there was, since she was very bored with simply being a lookout and she was also in a philosophical mood, to look at the stars and lose herself in their beauty. Tiny little flecks of distant suns, all shining from so far away in perfect unison.
