"She'll be here in just a couple of minutes, now." Sandra told her friend a few minutes later, tapping the toe area of her right boot against the ground in nervousness, but this sound was mostly drowned out because of there being so many people there at the airport, all hurrying past in some direction or another either to catch their flight or get off of it, and bringing blurs of conversation past with them, which is why airports are so noisy. In addition, the distant high-pitched whir of planes landing on and taking off from the nearby runways could be heard, arriving from or going to many different places. Some were going to or from other airports in the country, and the bigger planes were tasked with international flights like the one that Starfire was on, carrying passengers for longer periods of time.
"Oh yeah. It's about... 9:05 ish right now, so you're right." Said Jenny after peering down at the watch on her wrist, and then noticing her fellow ability user's uneasiness, she reached over and put her hand on her shoulder. "Like England said yesterday, be easygoing and don't fret about it too much. She's a human being like us all, so just treat her with the same level of politeness as you treat the rest of us."
"Okay. I will."
"And speaking of human beings, I take it we're not going to tell her about everything? About the Hetaverse and us being partially turned into alien lifeforms because of our powers and all of that?" Asked the lighter-haired one, lowering her voice to be a little more quiet for this question in particular.
"Yeah. As far as Starry's concerned, we're just perfectly normal women living in London who are 100% human and don't have access to a world of fictional characters." Nodded the older anime fan.
And then, 2 or 3 minutes later, as they continued to stand there against the wall, Sandra finally spotted one individual person, one in amongst a huge mass of many, many other people in that vicinity, like spotting an ant in your back garden. Immediately, whilst becoming slightly startled at how suddenly she'd seen this person and not expecting it to be so soon, she stopped leaning on the wall and began to walk in their direction, clutching her friends' advice firmly in her head, and Jen followed closely behind her.
After a struggle for them both to make it through the crowded area in one piece, they eventually managed to get through it, coming closer and closer towards where they were trying to get to, until at last they reached the person that Sandra had seen. Her long, jet black hair was somewhat wavy, like the female Briton's brown hair, and it flowed down her back elegantly with shining blue eyes illuminating her face. Also, her skin was slightly more tanned, and she looked to be about Eleanor's age or somewhere around that region.
It took nothing more than a moment for this girl to realise who the green-eyed one was. "Big sis!" She cried out with her mouth stretching into a great big smile after she'd turned her head to look at her.
"Hey Starry." She greeted in return, and then proceeded to give her a short hug, feeling a tiny bit awkward doing it in a public place like this and also not quite believing that they were actually meeting each other again after the last couple of years. It made her experience a background feeling of giddiness.
"Hi! I came to meet you too! Remember me? FlashyPebble!" Jenny also said, referring to her DeviantArt alias with which she first met her and Sandra.
"Oh yeah, I remember you now! It's great to meet you face to face, too!" Starfire recognised her straight away as well and they vigorously shook hands, and then turned to Sandra. "So, how are you? You have to tell me everything that's been going on with you both since we last spoke!"
"Nothing too interesting or notable, really." The oldest out of all 3 of them fibbed in reply. "And yourself?"
"Pretty much the same here."
