Pidge's POV

They're going to hate me. They're gonna think I'm irresponsible, and immature, and-

My thoughts were interrupted by something squishing me. "OHMYGODPIDGEI'MSOHAPPYOHMYGODOHMYGOD" Lance cried, hugging me tightly. "Y-You don't hate me?" I stuttered, blinking away the tears. "What? No! Why would I hate you?! Pidge, I'm thrilled!" He laughed, crying at the same time. I began to laugh too. "I-I was so scared t-that you'd h-hate me!" I sobbed, still laughing. "T-Then y-you're stupid for thinking that!" He replied. It took a while, but eventually we both calmed down. I wiped my tears away with my sleeve. "I'm sorry I caused the whole castle to go into panic mo-" Just as I was about to finish apologizing, there was a loud blast, followed by metal slamming against metal. Shiro stood in the doorway, looking so angry it scared the living daylights out of me. "WHAT IS GOING ON?!" He roared. I shrunk a little. "Please don't tell them." I whispered, not to anyone in particular. "LANCE, KEITH, YOU TWO ARE GROUNDED!" He continued yelling. "WHAT?!" "You can't ground us!" "Yeah!" "We're adults!" The two boys argued. "YOU THINK I CARE?! I WOKE UP TO-" "It's my fault, Shiro!" Storm walked over to him, looking right into his eyes. Everyone else was frozen in place. Even if Shiro wasn't our team leader, no one dared challenge or backtalk him. "Explain." "I overreacted with something that I found, and Pidge got really excited, so she screamed, causing the chain reaction of events this morning." Storm stated. Shiro eyed her for a moment, judging if the excuse was good enough. I prayed that he wouldn't poke at it for more details. "Fine. But I expect you all to behave... more normally... next time." He sighed, shaking his head as he walked out of the room.

Storm turned to face everyone else. "Don't act so surprised. I don't put up with people telling me what to do, and I'm not okay with false accusations." She growled. "I'm... still confused as to what just happened, but as long as everyone is alright, I won't question it." Allura said. Hunk and Coran shrugged, walking out along with the princess. The Meif'Wa walked over to me. "Not ready to tell them?" She asked. I shook my head. "Then your secret's safe with me." Storm wrapped her arms around me in a hug. I returned the gesture, letting out a shuddering breath. "Thank you."
