Sally Jackson, the official mother of all of camp. Everyone loved her. And if someone didn't then they would quickly be correct or eliminated.

Eliminated.

Even Hera had to bow down to her mighty power. No one would mess with Mama Jackson.

——

The moment a new camper clichely named Jake insulted Percy's mother, though he had never met the saint, the pavilion turned a deadly cold silent. He had known in a moment that he had messed up.

He wasn't seen for the next two weeks.

——

Sally Jackson woke up with her son and her husband in her face with three beautifully stacked blue pancakes with fruit and orange juice and an amazing arrangement of flowers.

She smiled so hard that her cheeks ached slightly for a small period of time after.

They wouldn't let her do a single thing that would cause her stress. Lemonade perched on the counter nearby as she laughed at the comedian dancing across the television. She could still hear the water running because Paul and Percy had insisted that she didn't need to touch a single dirty dish.

"Boys," she called out to them as she walked into the kitchen, "how do you feel about going to the mall?"

"Mom if you need to buy something I can call Annabeth and we could buy it for you while you hang out with Paul."

"That's not it. I just want to walk around. If I do buy something then you boys can carry it. Why don't you call Annabeth anyways."

Percy nodded and skipped off to the bathroom to IM Annabeth.

Paul and Sally smiled after him before she grabbed his hand and pulled him in for a sweet kiss.

"Thank you for this. This is the best Mother's Day I've had in a long time." She whispers to Paul.

Paul smiled and pulled her in for a tight hug. "This Mother's Day isn't over yet."

Before anything else could be said Percy stepped out into the kitchen with a small smile.

"Sorry to interrupt this sweet sweet moment, but Annabeth said that she would meet us at the mall. So if we could get going that would be great because I don't want to keep her waiting."

Paul and Sally stared for a bit at Percy before laughing at his sheepish expression.

——

The day was filled with laughing and eating and joking. The mall was nothing more than a memory and yet it was a wonderful one.

Annabeth gave Sally some advice - jokingly - on how to handle Percy better as they shopped around. Paul and Percy bonded if only just a bit more than where the were beforehand.

When night fell they danced to old tunes in the waves and let the stars watch over then. The moon shone brightly overhead as their car speakers blasted and the kicked sand on to each other.

They then escaped back into their house to collapse on any surface that could hold them. Whether that be a bed, table, or couch they made it.

The next morning was whisked away in a frenzy.

Paul, already late for a meeting, kissed her softly before exiting of the house.

Annabeth, wearing one of Percy's sweatshirts, wishes her a "see you later" at the door, Percy already following after her with a kiss in the cheek.

"I'll drop her off. I'll be right back." A simple promise. She had to learn to trust those more often.

Once the hose was empty and quiet she dumped her body onto the couch, basking in the warm glow of the sun streaming in from the window.

"What a wonderful Mother's Day." She whispered and closed her eyes in the couch.

And wonderful it was.
