Apollo yawned and shook his head to wake himself up more. There had been a meeting called and he was supposed to be there right away but he was honestly just feeling really drained.
His twin sister had become increasingly rude over the last couple of weeks but he didn't have any time to think about it. He had no idea why Artemis was acting like that, but he figured that it would blow over quickly.
There had been a plague in the Middle East. He was the one who caused it because he had to. Then China was trying to discover some new medicine, but whatever they were making would end a bunch of life's, so he had to stop that.
There was a major court hearing and he decided that they needed to be truthful. The court hearing would change that small country forever. Then he made himself look like a Demigod and healed some broken bones when he found out the the infirmary was short of hands.
Ruling over the domains music, poetry, art, oracles, archery, plague, medicine, sun, light and knowledge really take a toll on him. Yeah sure, there are others god's that should be sharing the burden, but it just doesn't feel right unless he's doing the job himself.
He flashed his way onto Olympus and let out a quiet sigh. He had something else to do. I'm about 30 minutes he needs to end the plague that he set on the Middle East and make sure doctors there make a good enough medicine.
"Apollo, where have you been?!" His dad thundered and Apollo rubbed his temples, a sign of an upcoming headache.
"In the Middle East. I was doing something important, unlike this." He said the last part quietly but Hermes heard it. He smirked and Apollo let out a weary laugh.
"Pay attention!" Artemis snapped at him and rolled her eyes.
30 minutes later
Apollo fidgeted in his seat. He knew that it was time to go but the meeting STILL wasn't over. It's not like anyone would notice if he left for like ten minutes. He moved quickly behind his throne and flashed away.
20 minutes later
Turns out a minor god decided that adding another plague with the one he had was a good idea. He had to crunch time. Solving two plagues, making the doctors find out two antidotes, healing people who shouldn't have gotten hurt, and scolding a minor god.
He was surprised in himself that he did it in 20 minutes. He looked up and lighting flashed across the sky. He dragged a hand down his face and sighed in annoyance. Somehow he forgot why he was crunching time.
The meeting was still going on. Butttt, when Artemis turned to berated him on something for no reason he was gone. After 15 minutes of leaving they finally figured out he was gone.
What a pain.
Apollo flashed into the throne room and was not smiling. I'm fact a scowl rested on his face and seemed to have been there for a long time.
"Where have you been?" Artemis snapped and Apollo scoffed. There she was sitting pretty on her throne only sharping her arrows.
"I would love to have time to sharpen my arrows but I just don't have that." Apollo thought bitterly and then turned to his father.
"Where have you been?" He boomed and tried to look threatening. Apollo raised an eyebrow. He really wanted to sleep.
"Checking our babes or something." Apollo waved his hand in his dad's general direction while waking off to his throne.
Artemis scoffed at him and he scoffed right back. "Why can't you just stop being so useless? Everyone around here does their job but you don't do a thing."
