Chapter 5: A Hectic Halloween

After a few more classes, it was lunch; everyone went to eat and hang out. Chase was looking for Ren, so she could sit with him and his friends. It didn't take long. It turned out she found him first. She sat down at an open seat at their table and introduced herself to Lukas.

"Hello! I am Ren Akiyama!" Ren said with a smile.

"Hello. I am Russina," replied Lukas.

Lukas was always awkward meeting new people(especially girls), but Ren found him hilarious. She started cracking up, which made Lukas feel a little better about his embarrassing flop. After they ate, none of them knew what to do.

"I know! We can play truth or dare." Ren suggested.

"Truth or Dare?" asked Ethan "I am in."

"So are we!" Eliana said, as she, Reina, and Alicia sat down at our table.

"What an interesting group." Chase thought silently.

Ren brought out a pencil. "Whoever the pencil lands on, the one who spun the pencil gets to ask. If you don't accept a truth or dare, you have to drink a swig of water fountain water." He pointed at the dirty fountain, and everyone shuddered. They had all heard from the eighth graders that the water line was directly connected with the sewage line.

"Alright! Let's do it!" Ren cheerfully said changing the atmosphere. "Who wants to go first?"

"I'll go first." Lukas said as he spun the pencil. It landed on Ethan.

"Truth or dare?" Lukas asked.

"Dare."

"See how the lunch food has been getting worse on the daily, right? You have to go into the lunch line, and grab a double serving of the "mystery meat"...and eat it all."

"Oh my goodness, I don't know what's worse, the water, or the meat. Uhhhhhh... I'll go with...the water.

Lukas ran to the fountain and filled up a cup with brownish water. "Drink up!"

"Cheers!" Ethan said sarcastically as he received the cup

Ethan plugged his nose and chugged it. He immediately started gagging. "MOUTHWASH! GET THE MOUTHWASH!" He yelled as everyone laughed. Ethan ran to the bathroom. 

"I'll spin for Ethan, since he's..."

"Possibly dead?" Ren asked.

"Right." Lukas he weakly spun the pencil. It landed on Chase. 

"Ummm...I'll choose dare." Chase hesitantly said.

Ethan's face immediately lit up. 

"Chase, I dare you to give a hug to Alicia!" Ethan eagerly asked.

Aghast, Chase looked nervously at Alicia. Alicia sat there, suddenly fascinated by the plastic knife she had on her lunch tray.

"I think I'll go drink the water."

"Chase... don't do it, it's not worth..."groaned Ethan as he rushed off to the bathroom again.

"Don't even think about touching me, Perv." Alicia said as she held the plastic knife between her and Chase. "Or you'll die."

"Sigh. Doesn't look like it will be easy Chase." said Lukas. "I'll change it to-"

"Here I'll help you." said Ren, as she shoves Chase into Alicia.

"Gahhh!" cried Chase as he ran into Alicia.

CRAASHHHHH!

Chase opened his eyes seeing Alicia stuck under him, his arms wrapped around her. At the same time, Alicia opened her eyes. It took them a minute to comprehend what had happened.
