Chase plopped down on the bed. He had just came back from a hefty lunch with his friends. Oliver and Evelyn had to meet up with their parents, and Jamie and James was forced to go to Bingo with their grandparents. Alicia and Ashley were in the other room sleeping.
So much has happened on this trip. Tomorrow it will over.... BUT THEN WE GET TO ALASKA!!! I'M SO EXCITED! But.... I want to spend more time with Oliver, Evelyn, Jamie, and James...
Chase sighed, and was drifting to sleep when the door burst open.
"Time for dinner, Chase!" yelled his dad, whipping the blanket off.
"Five more minutes..." he groaned.
"Chase, get up!" his dad scolded.
Chase hesitantly got up, changed, and stepped outside. To his surprise, Alicia was not wearing a dress this time, but a...
"Why am I wearing this? This is so stupid." Alicia hissed, trying to bring the miniskirt down more. "Chase, stop staring at me!"
Chase snapped out of his dazed state and walked out of the room and filed downstairs. Chase led the way into the restaurant they ate at before. The waiter came over, and took everyone's orders. Chase got a surf and turf, and Alicia got miso salmon.
"May I also recommend tonight's special desert, the Baked Alaska?" the waiter suggested.
"We'll get two of those after the main meal." ordered Mrs. Park.
Chase and Alicia uncomfortably sat together. The food seemed as if it would never come.
"Soooo.... What did you do on the cruise?" Chase asked.
"Chase, I was with you the entire time. I did the exact same things you did."
"..."
Chase shrank down on his seat. So much for a conversation.
"So, What was your favorite part of the cruise?" Alicia asked.
Chase immediately brightened up.
"Ummm... Probably the Super Smash Tournament."
"Nice... Mine was probably the karaoke."
The conversation died again as Chase slumped down.
I really need to get better at talking with Alicia.
Alicia sighed, and turned to Chase.
"Whatcha thinkin' about now?"
She caught me.
"FOOOOOD!!!" shrieked Ashley.
The food was dispersed among the families. Chase was about to start eating when his parents stopped him.
"Let's have a picture first!" Mrs. Park said as she raised her phone. "Smile!"
After what seemed like hours on end, they were finally allowed to eat. Before they knew it, the kids ate almost half of their meal. The adults, who were calmly eating their meal, looked at the kids and sighed.
"Eat slower, you guys! This isn't the end of the world!" scolded Mrs. Park and Mrs. Kim.
Chase and Alicia ignored them, and continued to devour the food. The food was gone before they realized it, and the adults were only a quarter of the way finished.
"You kids will have to wait for us to finish. No phone. See what happens when you eat to fast." chided Mr. Kim.
"Jeez, dad..." muttered Alicia accepting defeat.
