Chase sighed as he woke up. Today was finally promotion. The last few days were party/cram time. Most of his classes have been free periods of phone time, or parties involving large amount of sugar and caffeine. Band had pulled him out of several of his classes as they practiced for the performance. Luckily, Alicia had been there pushing him on. On the way to school, He saw that there were multiple messages on his phone.
Ren: You guys ready for the last day of school?!? :)
Brandon: More than ready.
Jay: Time to kick back and enjoy lazy days of lying in the sand of the beach.
Alicia: Tell me about it.
Reina: Hey! Maybe we should have a beach day in the summer.
Ren: Great idea!
Chase sighed. The conversation seemed to last for an eternity. He slipped on his backpack, only to realize he didn't need it.
This will take some adjusting.
"Hey! Whatcha starin at your phone for!" cried Alicia as she slapped him in the back
"All the spam you guys send." muttered Chase.
"Why the down face? It's the end of the school year, and ten weeks of vacation!"
"Well... Normally summers are boring for me. My parents are out working, and there's nothing to do at home." answered Chase.
Alicia spun around.
"Chase, what you have been doing on an almost daily basis?" questioned Alicia.
"Staying at your house, and eating dinner?" Chase replied.
"Exactly, so you don't have to worry about being bored in the summer."
That's a lot of fun...
Chase nodded, and saw Alicia's glowing face.
Someone is excited for summer
They finally made it school, where their friends stood huddled around the entrance.
"End of the year!" cried Ren as she saw them, "WE MADE IT!!!"
"Speaking that you are the only one besides the Chase who gets in trouble often." chided Michael, "That is quite an accomplishment."
"You are forgetting my numbskull boyfriend over here." added Reina.
"Hey!" complained Lukas.
Chase simply laughed. This was the best friend circle ever to exist. Ethan wrapped around Chase's and Brandon's neck.
"So you guys ready to get promoted?"
They went inside, only to get kicked out by the design team.
"Oh crud..." muttered Ren looking up from her phone.
"Today is a ditch day, not even the teachers are here. We were suppose to come for promotion at six."
Silence fell upon the entire group as they realized they had wasted their entire morning, fervently getting ready for the last day of school.
"So what should we do as promotion celebration?" asked Eliana.
"Hmmm...."
"Let's go to a mall!" exclaimed Jay.
"Nah, we do that too much." replied Brandon.
Everyone besides them raised an eyebrow at the word "we".
