Chase had slept through the flight, and woke up to the sound of light applause as the plane landed.
"We have arrived at the San Francisco International Airport!" The intercom announced. "Please wait until the seatbelt sign is off before retrieving luggage from the overhead bin."
Ding!
The seatbelt sign turned off, and Mr. Kim and Mr. Park got to taking the luggage, as Chase and Alicia lazily glanced at their phones. A few minutes later, the two families were set to leave the plane and walked slowly out of the gate.
"I'm hungry..." Ashley groaned as she surveyed the restaurants as she passed by.
"Let's get to the baggage claim, then go out and eat." Mr. Kim suggested.
"Good idea." Mr. Park acknowledged. "Let's go!"
After what seemed like an hour, they finally reached the baggage claim.
"Ok..." Chase looked at his boarding pass. "Baggage Claim 2."
"We're already here." Alicia sighed. "I'm gonna sit down." She sat on the conveyor belt.
Whirr...
The conveyor belt started to move, and Alicia was whisked away.
"ALICIA!" screamed Ashley half-heartedly, "Come back?"
"Should we go save her?" questioned Chase.
"Nah, she'll come around."
"GET ME OFF OF THIS THING!!!!" cried Alicia as she went for a second loop.
"This is too funny." chuckled Ashley as she whipped out her phone.
Alicia finally managed to pick herself up, and jumped off of the conveyor belt.
"Thanks for the help, guys. You were really great." she groaned as she spun around.
Chase and Ashley impishly grinned, and high-fived each other. Under the instruction of the adults, they hauled all of their checked-in luggage off of the conveyor belt. Then they grabbed a cart and stacked them on the cart. Chase heaved and hauled the cart while Alicia walked idly next to him.
"Can I have a little help?" groaned Chase.
"Nah, you're pretty strong right?" Alicia replied.
"Well, two is better than one." retorted Chase.
"Says the guy who left me on the conveyor belt."
"..."
They grabbed food from a convenient Starbucks, and finally made it to the pick-up area.
"Our van is back at the port, so I called an Uber." said Mr. Kim.
Moments later a van pulled over. The door opened, and a lanky person came out.
"Hi y'all, I'm Brian and will be your UBER driver."
Brian the Uber driver loaded their baggage in the trunk while they sat themselves down in the spacious van.
"Dang," muttered Alicia, "We could fit five more people in here."
The Uber Driver hopped into the van and they spud off to the port. Chase whipped out his phone to listen to music, and remembered what Alicia had told him earlier. He scrolled down, and found her music set. Alicia nudged him, and he gave her an earphone. K-pop suddenly exploded in Chase's left ear.
"WHAT IS THAT!" he shrieked, ripping the earphone out of his ear.
"That was my k-pop list." answered Alicia with confusion.
