"Come on, we need to start working!" You told him with excitement as you walked into the room with a cardboard box in your arms.

He chuckled, "I'm coming, I'm coming... slow down a bit, we have all day!" He pushed the door open as he pulled in a trolley filled with office supplies.

You bought a design studio with one of your good friends, Barry and have finally moved all the furniture and things into the accommodation. It's decently big, It's pretty much a studio apartment. You and Barry have experience in design in general, through work as well as extra curricular. It's how you met and got to know each other better.

Barry grabbed a painting leaning to the wall at one end of the room and placed it on the wall. "How's this?" He asked and you stroked your chin in thought.

"It's a little tilted, move it up from the left," You instructed and he looked back to you after doing as you said, "Yeah perfect. Nail it!"

Barry did exactly that after marking a point on the wall with a pencil. He grabbed a nail and hammer from the tool box and fixed the painting to the wall.

You walked over to the two wooden desks placed next to each other at the other side of the room and put your hands on your hips. You looked to the set of windows on the other end and nodded your head quickly.

"Help me move the tables to the window Barry," You requested and Barry tilted his head.

"Why?"

"Because that's where they're going to be," You answered flatly and he furrowed his eyebrows.

"And when did we decide on this?" He crossed his arms and walked over to you slowly.

"We talked about it-"

"But I never agreed to it [y/n]," He went back to placing some artifacts on the shelves beside the door.

"And why not?! Placing desks next to the window makes perfect sense! A view is just-"

He scoffed then stormed towards the windows, "What kind of a view is that?! It's terrible!" He pointed to the desolate land that stretched for a little bit till it was cut off by the side wall of a neighbouring building. Below, was nothing but a brick pathway which no one really uses.

You rolled your eyes and stomped towards him. "At least you feel open and the light gives the room a better outlook. You should know that Barry!" You argued.

"Not with that view you're not!" He rubbed his forehead then sighed, "You know, you put your table here and I'll put mine over there, where it looks twice as better!"

"NO," You yelled, making him then with surprise, "Symmetry, we need symmetry!"

"I am NOT putting my table near this window and that's FINAL!"

*****

You both sat at opposite corners of the room. You had your legs stretched put in front odnyou while he had his knees pulled up to his chest.

"Can't we just... agree to disagree?" He pointed out and you frowned.

"But we need to put the tables somewhere," You answered quietly and observed the room intently.

"No window..." He added and you rolled your eyes.

"YES Barry we have established that," You shook your head a bit, "Where you want it is too claustrophobic and towards the door... so no to that too."

You rested your head back on the wall and sighed loudly. You sat up straight suddenly with a smile curled on your lips.

"Wait I think I got an idea," You said and walked over to him, "What if we make either sides of the room a mirror image of the other? Perhaps change the colour scheme later on..."

Barry jumped to his feet and grinned, "And to make it even more interesting, we could put a tape line, maybe duct tape, running all across the middle of the room. How would actual mirrors look?"

You laughed and wrapped your arms around his waist, "I take it that you like the idea then?"

"Oh yes, I think I can work with it," He smirked, "You get your... sad view window and I get my plain wall where I can stick my plans-"

You slapped his arm playfully and pouted, stepping away from him then tying your hair into a ponytail.

"We've got a lot of work to do Barry, let's start!" You instructed then walked over to the tables, "Now will you finally help me move the tables?"

Barry looked to the ceiling then walked over to the phone. "Let's have something to eat first!" He teased and you rolled your eyes.

You pulled him by his arm and placed his hands on the table. "No food till we sort the furniture, and that's final!" You said then chuckled.

Barry shrugged his shoulders and lifted his side of the table, "Whatever you say sweetheart."
