"THIS SONG!" You cheered on, listening to 'You Belong With Me' by Taylor Swift playing on the car radio, "So many memories."

You started to sing and Jamed chuckled, wanting to watch you but had to pay attention to the road he was driving on. On top of that it was late evening and he had to be extra alert.

"If you can see I'm the one who understands you, been here all along so why can't you see?!" You sang, "You belong with me... You belong with me!"

He reached to change the radio station and you slapped his hand quickly. "Don't you dare James!" You threatened playfully and he rolled his eyes, "You know, I used to think about you when I'd hear this song."

He raised an eyebrow and smirked, "Oh really, love?" He leaned in towards you to steal a kiss but-

SCREECH!

"JAMES!" You yelled as the car was about to drive off the road. He quickly swerved the car back in plane then ran a hand through his hair. He looked at you and smiled nervously.

Eventually the car came to a halt at a split way and a time for James to make a decision of either left or right. You turned to look at him and found that he was a little confused about the road ahead.

You examined the two roads leading in completely different directions. They had a lack of signage, except the left road seemed to be more lit up.

"Let me check the satellite navigation-" You started to suggest but he intervened with his opinion.

"We don't need that, I know the way," He reassured, "Don't worry."

James turned the car towards the right road and you squinted your eyes at him. "Um, I think we should have gone the other way love," You commented and he shook his head.

"Nope, I've used this road before," He responded quickly but it didn't seem to restore some confidence back inside you.

The road stretched out for miles, with an aisle of trees on each side. The road rarely bent, it remained on the straight and narrow. You felt uncertain about the journey all of a sudden, a growing feeling that you wouldn't reach your destination in time.

You glanced at the time on the dashboard and raised your eyebrows. "Um..." You mumbled then raised your voice a little, "I don't think we're going to make it for the dinner reservation baby."

He held your hand tightly and took a deep breath, "Hmm, don't worry. We'll reach." He gave your hand a slight squeeze and you smiled nervously.

Today was your three year relationship anniversary and it was special for the both of you, other than it being an event. The two of you finally got some time to yourselves, being free from work commitments, and tonight's dinner was a way for both of you to reconnect and pretend like you're going on that first date once again.

"What are you going to order huh?" James asked, to fill in the silence. You squinted your eyes as you thought about the menu. The restaurant was one of yours and James' favourite.
