"So besides the world of film, what's happening in your life?" The interviewer asked and James smiled.

"Well my family's all the way at home in London right now, probably watching this as we speak," He said then waved at the camera, "Hi [y/n/n] and [y/s/n]!"

"Is it hard staying away for months without having them around?" He asked and James frowned.

"No doubt it's hard. For every actor I'm sure they feel sad about the fact that they won't get to see the people they hold so dearly to themself that often," James replied, "But then that also keeps one motivated to finish working soon so that you can go home."

You smiled softly then rubbed your hands. You did miss him a lot... especially nowadays since you have a short holiday period from work.

"[y/s/n], where are you sweetheart? Come see daddy on TV!" You called out and moments later spotted a young boy waddle into the room while holding cat plushie his his hands.

"Come on, daddy's here!" You held out your hand and he came running to you. You picked him up and placed him on your lap, then sat back comfortably on the couch.

"Dada, lookie!" He shouted out and you laughed.

"Baby he can't hear you. He's in another place," You told and he remained quiet, teaching his father talk on the large screen.

"So tell us about your kids, what has the McAvoy household have in store?"

"I've got one wee boy, [y/s/n], who just turned three a couple of weeks back. I flew over to surprise him for his birthday," James grinned, "It was the most funniest and cutest things ever. His face... I can never forget it. I messaged my wife when I pulled up in the driveway and she told [y/s/n] to open the door. He was busy drinking something and even though he was standing at the door his attention was glued to the TV and I think Paw Patrol was on. I ran quietly to him and sat on the ground, then I tapped his arm. He didn't look at me so I did it again and the moment he turned to me he almost fell down in surprise. He widened his eyes and looked at me like I was a ghost!"

You heard the audience laugh, which made you smile. You had watched this event from the kitchen, you had a clear view of the main door.

"I put an arm out to give him a hug but he ran inside to his mother yelling, 'Mummy there's a stranger in the house' in the classic way two year olds speak," James said and the interviewer watched him with surprise, "I was so excited by it all that I realised I forgot to pay the cabbie."

Another chorus of laughter ensued and James shook his head with a smile. "Well I got inside the house and followed my boy to the kitchen where I greeted my wife but then he started tugging on my trousers and pulling me away with pure anger. It was adorable," He continued, "In the end his mother successfully convinced him that it's actually me and not some stranger raiding his house making out with his mum."
