Chapter 3 - My Bestfriend

Jaylin’s POV

“Good Morning Ms. Jaylin” my secretary greeted me as I was about to enter my office.

“Good Morning Jacky” I smiled and enter inside my office.

It’s a Monday and another tiring day for me. I’m actually working at our company. This would be a training ground for me before I would actually start to run my very own company.

Isang taon na akong mag train sa company namin. First I was a secretary of my father, and now I’m already the Director of Marketing Department which only means I have to deal with business partner within the country and even outside the country. This is one heck of a job pero kahit papano I still had much time for myself.

Actually the company itself would give me a vacation every once in a month para naman daw ma enjoy ko yung second chance of my life. Perhaps okay lang naman siguro pag wala ng vacation as long as may napasaya akong tao sa araw-araw ng buhay ko.

Anyway I started to do my paper works na nakatambak sa office ko. I also attend on my meetings for this day then I contacted business partners to update the company’s marketing strategies and perhaps to improve our marketing techniques.

It’s already 4:00 pm and I’m getting tired. I rest my head on the back rest of the chair. As I was about to close my eyes biglang nag ring ang phone ko. I grab my phone from the table and checked if who’s calling me, then the name pop-out. It’s actually my best friend. Angelie Mae Sy.

“Hello bes?”

“Bes I’m done with my office works. Mall tayo?” excited na offer ng best friend ko

“Yeah. I’m also done with my agenda for this day. Actually I was about to close my eyes at nagulat ako dahil bigla kang tumawag”

“Oh sorry bes, pero if pagod ka. I’ll understand if gusto mong mag decline sa offer ko, pero mas happy ako pag payag ka”

“Sige na nga Pasalamat ka at bestfriend kita. Hindi kita kayang matiis” pambobola ko sa best friend ko.

“I love you bes, 4: 30 pm dapat magkita na tayo sa may Sbarro. Okay?”

“Okay po mam. Copy. Bye”

I called for my secretary to arrange my things and to call on the security to prepare my car para makaalis na ako sa office ko ng maaga. I’m pretty sure traffic na ngayon.

I’m here at the Sbarro. I’m wearing a short shorts and a heels with a matching spaghetti and a blazer. Kung ano ang suot ko kanina sa office, ganun din mall except for the short. Kasi I was wearing a formal skirt and I changed my outfit into shorts para naman di masyadong obvious na kagagaling lang sa trabaho.

“Bes!” nagulat ako ng may biglang sumigaw sa likod ko

Tumalikod ako to check who’s that girl shouting from afar and eventually hindi na ako nag taka kung sino pa nga ba ang ibang sisigaw kundi ang magaling at maganda kong best friend.

I waved at her and smiled. When she is closer to me biglang niya akong niyakap sabay sabi “I really miss you bes”

“Yah. It’s been two weeks since pumunta ka sa States and now you’re back at hindi mo ako sinabihan na nasa Pilipinas ka na pala”

“Ay bes, Nung March 25 pa lang ako dumating at hindi muna kita tinawagan kasi I know you have other important priorities kaya ngayon ko lang naisip na tawagan ka” Angelie explained
