there's a girl who
just needed a little sunshine,
just needed to feel another breath,
another wind like a
half forgotten freshness on her skinshe was taking me,
I was breathing her in
and she was falling into the sheets like breaking waves on the shore
she finally went swimmingnow I need some more of the
talking without watching the clock,
foolishly rapping to foolish songs,
never wanting to stop,
cause she felt like columbus
exploring my body
from the bottom to the topand she seemed like a drug
without being intoxicating
I never took her pill before,
still feel so addicted
so while all of the candles were
slowly burning down,
we were lighting up,
starting to ask questions
from one mouth to another,
slowly taking steps
I was
enjoying her skin,
the warmth of her neck,
the taste of her lips
and our unsteady breathso I needed to touch every inch
her hands
complimented with a knowing confidence
hands that
wouldn't ever doubt the things they touch
her legs
exposing traces, whispers about
all of the steps they took,
all of the searching
until they'd reach an unknown place
a mind
that is crossing lines just with the thought of that
I'm inspired of
her eyes
using green and brown to see the world in a kaleidoscope of questionsI remember closure
under the sheets and in her voice
I still taste the flavour
of having no doubts, still getting a choice
it is
something to remember
when I fall asleep
it's a picture I can see
when the sun is settingthere were two girls who
just needed a little sunshine
and they started to intertwine
just like
the colours in the skyone day I will steal her glasses
to see the world right through her eyes
but that's another story
for another night
