from child to adult
daughter to mother
comparing our youngest daysand that's something my therapist would love to hear:
mum is telling me about her will power as a girl
about her being difficult for her own parents
and
then I ask her
"how was I when I was younger?"
and she answers:
"you? you always wanted to please others
you always did the things you didn't want
did things for everybody else
but ignored your own needs
you never, never really put yourself first"and for the first time in a week
I started laughing and totally lost it
