I skipped giddily when we arrived the Azaour Island. I looked around and gazed in awe at the beauty of this paradise! The civilization was kind of agricultural, and it looked so peaceful.
"Mas bet ko here kaysa sa Fuego Isles!" I told Zavis and clinged my arm to his. The Southern Fuego Isles was where our headquarters or base are. It's mainly because Count Xavier de Costa of Lullin County, Fuego can cover us up. His loyalty belongs to Zavis, and we can never get caught there.
Syempre hindi naman kami tanga para magtayo ng base sa alam naming mahuhuli kami. Duuuuh!
Bahagya siyang lumingon sa'kin, at napatingin sa kamay ko. Tinaas niya ang kilay niya kaya't humiwalay na ako sa kaniya.
I pouted and Leon put a hand over my head. "Okay lang 'yan, Kiki. Tanggapin mo nalang na ayaw niya talaga sa'yo."
I pouted more, and looked up to Leon. "Cute naman ako, ah!" Don't get me wrong. I don't like Zavis, but I like clinging to him! Pero ayaw niya naman. E'di wag.
I stopped on my tracks when I felt a powerful energy around me. Napakunot-noo naman ako at sinubukang i-channel ang mga aura na nararamdaman ko. That is actually part of my power, I can channel emotions, aura, and powers.
However, my real power is copying, and to full extent, thievery. That's why I'm also known as the Greedy Thief- it's my pseudonym.
"What is it, Arkielle?" tanong sa'kin ni Leon. Napatingin na rin si Zavis sa'kin. I closed my eyes and my forehead creased when I felt an aura I have never encountered before.
Anong klaseng kapangyarihan 'to? It's so... powerful.
"Count Gabriel," bati ni Zavis kaya't natigilan ako. I opened my eyes to meet the eyes of the buff count. They shook hands with each other, and I just smiled at him.
"Zavaad, it is a pleasure to meet you," bati ng Count kay Zavis. "How is your voyage going?"
"We are faring better than ever. The Agua Kingdom is now under our hands, and we plan to train our Cambions first before we conquer the other six kingdoms."
Napatango naman si Count Gabriel at halatang namamangha. He actually looks old now, at halatang-halata na ang puti sa kaniyang buhok.
"So you also plan to take the throne of Aire?" tanong niya.
"Why, of course!" hindi ko mapigilang tugon. Napatingin naman siya sa'kin at alam kong nagtataka siya kung bakit may bata silang kasama, when in fact, hindi na ako bata!
I really hate this abnormality!
"Yes, Count Gabriel. If you'd be loyal to me, I would give you more lands to rule. Doesn't that sound nice?" pahayag ni Zavis, at humalukipkip. He even smirked and gave the count a warning look. "I'm not forcing you, Count."
Ehe, sabi mo lang 'yan, Zavis. Sino ba namang makaka-hindi sa tingin niyang 'yon?
The Count chuckled awkwardly, "It is truly an honor, Your Highness. Of course, of course. I shall be loyal to you."
Mas lumawak naman ang ngisi ni Zavis at lumapit siya sa Count. He patted his shoulder, and bent down to his ear and whispered. Napailing nalang ako nang mapansing namutla ang mukha ni Count Gabriel. Hays, I'm sure Zavis threatened him.
"Saskia!" sigaw ng isang taga-rito. "Mag-ingat kayo!"
Tiningnan ko naman ang babaeng tinutukoy niyang Saskia. The woman had a hijab over her head, so I could not see her face, only her eyes.
It was... black? No. Dark red ang kulay ng mga mata niya! She must be a Cambion! Only Cambions have unusual hair and eye colours.
At sa kaniya ko ata naramdaman ang powerful energy kanina!
"Cambion," mahina kong sambit ngunit sinigurado kong maririnig ng dalawa ang boses ko. Napatingin din naman sila sa babaeng nagngangalang 'Saskia.'
"What is her power?" tanong ni Leon sa'kin. I tried grasping ang imagining her aura, but I can't seem to copy and channel her powers.
Umiling ako, "I- I don't know. Hindi ko makopya ang kapangyarihan niya."
Zavis shifted in his position when one man got near Saskia and held her by her waist. The man slightly looked at us, and for a second I thought his light blue eyes told us to back off.
Huh? Cambion din kaya siya? Pero parang hindi ko naman napapansin ang enerhiya niya?
"Could she be the demon princess?" Leon wondered.
Tuluyan nang nahila ang babae palayo sa'min. The man holding her kept looking at us, and for some reason, I think he knows we're also Cambions.
I bet he also knows that the girl beside her is a Cambion, and he's taking her away from us.
"Where are they headed?" tanong ni Zavis kay Count Gabriel nang hindi hinihiwalay ang tingin sa babae.
"Ah, they must be headed to the Visland March. I think there's a sail scheduled now."
Zavis nodded and stifled a smile, "How about we talk over the ship, Count Gabriel? I think it would be better if I also visit Visland March."
Napabuntung-hininga naman ako. Sinasabi ko na nga ba't balak niyang sundan ang babae. Sabagay, kahit naman ako ay nakuryos na rin. I met a lot of Cambions, but I've never met someone with such powerful energy, and someone whose powers I can't copy.
Tch, hindi naman ako makakapayag n'on! I'm not called a Greedy Thief for nothing!
