Catching Up

"Hmmm, how much do you think it's worth?"

"Looks real so I'll say around...." Opening my eyes I found the twins staring at my wrist.

"What are you doing?"

"Hey Alex you look..."

"Who gave you that?" Austin asked pointing at the bracelet causing Justin to punch him

"I thought we agreed to ask discreetly you idiot"

"That would have taken to long"

Ignoring their pathetic banter I walked out of my room and headed into the kitchen, now what's on the menu for breakfast spotting the cake on the counter I sliced a piece.

"Alexia Ivy Stone" Tuning around I saw Jen with a stern look on her face

"Jen is everything alright, you seem a little bit off"

"You and I have a lot of catching up to do. Get dress we're going somewhere"

"A stake out that's what you brought me here for?"

"Yes and no, I brought you here because I have a job to do and plus we need to catch up"

"So what do you want to talk about?"

"Asher"

"Asher? What about him"

"I see you both were rather cosy" Laughter bubbled out me as I heard what she said

"Jen, I'm going to be honest with you, Asher is very handsome and tall which I find very, very attractive in a guy but he's a jerk....... Well most of the times and plus he's Cody's mate, Oh I forget to mention Nick would never approve of him.

"You won't believe me when I say this but I caught him looking at you last night"

"So I don't see your point"

"He wasn't looking at you normal, he had this look in his eye"

"Jen that's crazy maybe it was someone behind me"

"Okay if you insist but the day anything happens between the both of you I'll be there to remind you that 'I told you so'."

Before we could finish our conversation she received a call from Nick stating that they had enough evidence to arrest the man that we were current looking at. Going up to his door Jen knocked, a few seconds later the idiot emerged from the back door running like his house was on fire. Think, think, think ah ha. Hopping into the drives seat I started the car and drove around the block and through an ally when suddenly said idiot came in front of the car, hitting it he fell to the floor.

Picking him up Jen turned to me "What, you said stay in the car which I did and now you caught him so let's drop him off and get lunch I'm starving"

"I know I'm just your brother's fiancee but I wanted you to know if you ever decide to accept the fact that your boy has feelings for you, I'll be happy to be of help to you both"

"Okay but that won't ever happen thou because he's already got a girl"

"Hey, it all fair games unless the guy's wedded and bedded"

Laughing we continued to eat.

Opening the door, I took the package from my mom's secretary mumbling thanks but before I could close the door she spoke up

"Miss Alexia your mother asked me to inform you that when she's back she wants you to come home"

"Erica I think my mother got confused but I live here"

"I think she means at her residence Miss"

"Okay and Erica don't call me miss my name is Alex"

"But your mother...."

"Won't know it will be our little secret besides your only five years older than I am"

"Fine, have a great day Mi... Alex"

Sitting at the dinner table Nick started off the conversation "Jen and I found a house about an hour from here, it's a little bigger than this one"

"And there's a bedroom for each of you when you come over to visit" Jen added

"That's good, so when is the wedding?" Cody asked

"Well Vi and I haven't settled on a date and your brother and Max doesn't care to help. Anyway moving on how was your day twins"

"This idiot" Austin pointed to Justin "Doesn't agree with me on our presentation which Dad wants on the 4th"

"So we can fix it, we have two days inside"

"Okay enough. How about you Cody?"

"It was good even though my biology tutor made me cancel my date with Vicky"

"Smart man." Snickered the twins.

"Alex you're rather quiet. How was your day?"

"I want to go to the cabin tomorrow"

"Why?" Nick asked with an arched eyebrow.

"I have to go do some stuff and plus its three days away from when we're supposed to leave"

"Alex you have school tomorrow and next week you won't be attending"

"Nick please I really need to go" Sharing a look with Jen he turned to me "Alright but no more mind tricks after this. When do you leave?"

"Around four in the morning"

"Why are you leaving that early?" Justin asked

"Dude it takes nine hours to reach the cabin" I said with a duh look on my face "Any way I have to go pack" Kissing Nicky's cheek I ran upstairs. Packing a few things in my duffel bag I picked up my phone and message the girls telling them about my new plan. Now let the waiting game begin.

Throwing my bag through my bedroom window I slow crept down the stairs, as I was about to turn the door handle a voice spoke from behind me in the dark.

"Going for a late run?" Turning around I saw Jen leaning on the wall

"Jen what are you doing up?"

"Waiting for you"

"How did you know?"

"Alex I was trained to tell when someone is lying"

"I didn't mean to its just, something's wrong"

"Are you okay, is someone...."

"No, Jen, I promise when the time is right I'll tell you and please would you take care of handsome I asked Cody but he's an idiot"

"Okay, remember I'm always here for you but you should go I told your brother I was going for some water" Hugging me she whispered in my ear to be safe and don't do anything she won't.
