When Bad Meets Worst

"Ms. Stone there are......" Pulling away from Asher I looked at James whose eyes and mouth were wide open

Coming in and locking the door behind him James looked at Asher like a predator would look at his prey

"Boy, how did you get into this room?" James asked coming closer

"Uh, James would you be nice for once" I asked trying to draw his attention away from Asher

"Alex, this is the second time this boy has weaseled his way pass me and you ask of me to be nice to him" Someone knocked, well more like banged on the door

"James it isn't that bad he's a friend" Asher nudged me and I muttered a very special friend under my breath

Mimicking me in a squeaky voice "'James it isn't that bad he's a friend' I am not an idiot Alex and this friend of yours isn't supposed to be here" he finished while another loud bang sounded

Asher opened his mouth to speak but I placed a hand over it, I don't need him digging his grave deeper than it already is.

Bang, Bang "Would you just open the door already" I asked

"I'm not finished with you two" James said pointing us, he turned around to open the door which gave me just about enough time to shove Asher off the bed, I don't need my brother's waltzing in to find us.

"Move out of my way, best friends coming through" Max said pushing her way through with Maddie behind

"Alex my poor baby, come here" Maddie said but stopped when she saw Asher "What are you doing here" she asked with squinted eyes

"The same reason why you're here" he answered with a shrug

"And he's about to leave" James said grabbing Asher by the collar and pulling him out

"So that wasn't strange at all" Max said sitting at the foot of the bed

"What are you talking about" I asked trying to sound innocent

"Oh I don't know but Max and I have been investigating Asher" Maddie said joining us on the bed

"Why, And?" Okay, this isn't good

"Okay we're going to start off with why: (1) He never had a lock to his phone until recently

(2) He has been smiling a lot while speaking or messaging which he never did even while he was dating Plastic" Holding my stomach and laughing Maddie silenced me with a death glare

"(3) The day you left to visit your parents he was very agitated, the next day he left saying that he had an assignment to deliver to you, which I find very strange because we're were on break and last time I checked you two weren't seeing eye to eye" If only you knew Maddie "When he came back home he was whistling and smiling which he never does except when his plans has fallen into place" I think his plans has more than fallen into place

"(4) He hasn't been home since you've woken up because apparently he's been staying over at your place and (5) today when we arrived here, he was already here and he looked like he was on cloud nine even thou he had bruises"

"And everything all leads back to you Lex, well except for the bruises" Max finished for Maddie

"Haha, Um.... Okay, have I ever told you guys you had wild imaginations?" I'll kill that Asher when I get my hands on him

"Listen Alex, we're your best friends and even thou you and my brother, which is very gross, have something going on its okay to tell us, you're not made up of stone, besides mom and I were hoping you'd join our family soon" Chocking on the last bit she said I looked at her with wide eyes

"Maddie, I don't...... Asher just asked me to be his........" Squeals erupted from both girls causing James to slam the door open with his gun drawn, seeing that everything was alright he closed the door muttering something under his breath

"Tell us everything" Max said making herself comfortable

After a lot of interruptions I finished my story just in time before the doctor walked into the room, Max and Maddie excused themselves and walked out

"Good Day Ms. Stone, how are you?" she asked with a smile checking the bruise on my wrist and back

"I'm fine I guess, the medication has been helping a lot" I said not mentioning my aching head and shoulder

"That's good, you're healing quickly"

"So does that mean I can leave" I asked with a hopefully voice

"Ms. Stone you've only awoken from a coma five days....."

"Yes but you've checked my vitals and bruises, which are all fine besides I was here for almost one month now, Please"

Sighing she looked at me "Okay you can leave but you have to come back once a week for a check-up and I need a signature from an adult"

"Okay the adult is outside and I will be back every week"

"And don't forget the...."

"Medications, yea" Shaking her head she left
