Hades POV
Hades sat on the side of his son's bed, wetting the cloth before draping it back over Bane's forehead. Why did you go down there? he thought, looking into his son's peaceful face for answers.
Ever since the rescue two days ago, Cerberus had stayed by Bane's side, even going as far as ignoring Hades and his job of keeping the dead in the Underworld. Hades knew that if Cerberus wouldn't listen to his master, then the Father of Hellhounds would not go back to his post until Bane was awake and well.
There was a knock at the door before Thanatos poked his head in, "Has there been any improvement?" the God of Death asked.
"No," Hades sighed, holding his head in his hands.
"I will come," Thanatos reassured him, "With time".
"I only wish I knew why he went down there," Hades said.
"Maybe he didn't have a choice?" Hecate suggested, walking in from the bathroom with another bowl of hot water.
"What do you mean?" Hades asked her.
"Maybe something pulled him down? Or planted the idea in his head?" Hecate said, shrugging.
"If the idea was planted," Thanatos said, lost in thought, "Then Prince Bane won't be able to distinguish it from his own thoughts, "And we won't be able to prove that to the Olympian Council".
"To Tartarus with the Council," Hades muttered, "I just want my boy to be alright".
Hope yall are enjoying the story. I think this is the furthest I've ever gotten when writing on Wattpad?
