Bane watched with despair as the horde made their way to his home, the Underworld.

"We'll never beat them!" Bane cried.

"My dear great-nephew," a voice growled behind them, "This is not the end".

The group turned to find two giant Cyclopes and Hekatonkheires. One of the Cyclopes held a lightning-bolt while the other one wore a dark helmet and carried a Bident. It was the Cyclops with the weapons of Bane's father that spoke, "Come! Let me channel the death and pain of this land into you so you may shadow-travel us to your father's side!".

As soon as he said the words, a red mist started swirling around his Bident. Arges, who had made Hades' Bident and Helm of Darkness, pointed the two-pronged staff at Bane. The red mist shot into the Demigod's chest. Bane tried to shadow-travel them all to Hades' Palace...but it wasn't enough.

Before they could try again, they were surrounded by Empousai, monstrous vampire ladies with one donkey leg and one bronze leg. But then a howl sounded in the distance. Bane looked to find none other than Cerberus leaping and crashing down on the vampires. Arges laughed a rich chuckle before shooting the red mist at Cerberus' tail.

It started to twitch and coil, changing from fur to scales until a viper sprouted from the Hellhound's rear. All four heads made short work of the vampires, their deaths making Bane stronger.

"He must have reformed!" Kaleb exclaimed, "He must have forced the process so he could protect you".

Despite the situation, Bane let out a whoop of joy to see his friend again. He stretched his powers to their limit, feeling the essence of monsters that were still reforming in Tartarus. The sense of death crashed like a tidal wave into Bane, fuelling him to the brink. He lassoed everyone with coils of shadow before shadow-travelling them all into Hades' throne room.
