"I'm Jerry! Here with you live on a helicopter as we fly over the quiet capital of Washington D.C...Jerry! are we live?" The camera pans to someone else and they nod. "That's great to hear, I love having you with me! Mainly because I, Jerry, brother of Jerry, am afraid of heights! Look down there it's terrifying!" The journalist speaks in a lisp as he peers over the edge.

The Jerry show was always my favorite. It was a family news show that comprised only of people named Jerry. That along with there comedy can turn any grim situation into a fun one. I reach over and reach for the remote, knowing that I had plenty of things to do, and If I procrastinate I won't get it done...And if I don't get it done Thomas will be annoyed. And if he's annoyed then-

I shake away my anxious thoughts and grab the remote in a death grip. I rose it to the TV but paused, "Holy heck Jerry! Looky down their! I don't know what in the world THAT was! Maybe Washingtons haunted. Let's book it! Jerry! Tell Jerry to turn the plane...Jerry?-" I spring to my feet as the screen turns into a heart-racing static.

A red light began to blare moments later. "Oh, you've gotta be kidding me," I mumble. I use my shoulder to push open the door as I reach into a pocket and pull out a small silver pallet of eyeshadow. My heart begins to race but it's manageable.

"Virgil!" The earpiece starts as I apply the makeup under my eyes. "Meet Ro and Pat on the roof, we're sending out off." I click both the elevator button and my earpiece. "No Logan?"

It takes a moment for him to respond. "No, no Logan. He hasn't woken up since you sent him to sleep." "Okay, copy that."

The elevator doors open onto the last floor and I rush up a stairwell towards the roof. I open the door and it swings to the side and rams into the hard wall. The wind was blowing furiously. "Virgil, there you are! The snake thing-" "Yeah I saw it live on the news." I interrupted. "Oh, that's...cool?" Patton also intersected.

Roman clicked his earpiece, "Logan, you coming-" "He's not joining this one." I interrupted once more. The prince rolled his eyes at my rude behavior. "Whatever, I was just being sure anxiety."

I scoffed at the nickname, "Anxiety? Me? neeeever."

The teasing would've continued if Remy didn't click on a moment later. "You're ready to roll out. A route average has been sent to Valory, she'll show you where to go. Lo won't be on this one so be careful. We all know this man's dangerous."

"Got it!" Patton answered before hopping into the air and falling off the building. Roman and I quickly followed behind. Windows shot by and moments later I was falling through the ground. This caused my world to go black and white as I switched plains.

-----

"Roman!" Patton shouted at me as we all raced to our destination, Patton running at super speed, Virgil fading through shortcuts and me hovering close behind Patton. "Yeah?" "If you can, please check the map for me!"

"Sure!" I responded, smiling as I did so. Even in dangerous situations, Patton still had his manners. I pull up my watch to look at the map. "He's moving in a pattern around the Mirror Lake, DC monument!" I think Patton nodded but it was hard to tell at his speed. I wasn't surprised, I've tried talking and running simultaneously. It wasn't easy.

It took about two minutes to meet Virgil at the monument. The sky was greyer here, and the wind blew at such high speeds that I could feel water jumping out of the lake and sprinkling my outfit with droplets of water.

"Roman! Patton! Virgil! Can you read me?" Thomas clicked on once we were together. I answered, "Yeah, what's up?"

"Lo-"The earpiece cut to static. I flipped my head to the others. "Did either of you get that last part?" Both Virgil and Patton gave me a look that could only be taken as 'No'.

Thunder clapped, making Patton jump. My vision was filled with light until it faded away and I could see again. The clouds continued to rumble but they were nothing compared to the deadly silence on the other side of the lake. The yellow bandit tilted his hat up to shoot us a glare. I didn't take to much notice, more concerned about how I wanted to end him than his stupid expressions.

"Why hello there," He started. Despite the wind and thunder, his voice still held strong. "I TOTALLY didn't expect to see you again. So, hows Logan doing?"

I was going to respond but Patton responded for me, "What'd you do to him you fucking snake!" He shouted. You knew dad was angry when he brought out bad words...He'll apologize for it later. I cocking noise followed his statement as Virgil aimed his gun. "Who's she, never heard of her." He stated.

I was the first to rush him, fighting against the wind momentarily until I switched its direction to face him instead. My heart raced but I refused to pull out my sword yet. the wind howled and the water raised from the mirror lake, shivering in the wind as I launched the matter at him full force.

"Oh, Roman, I hope you don't greet your family like that." He cocked his head before teleporting away and letting the water shoot past him. I forgot he could do that. However, I didn't let the water go to waste. With a horizontal u-turn of my hands, the water picked itself off the ground and hovered around me. It was like standing in the middle of a giant onion ring...only made of water.

"Rude much?" He deadpanned, teleporting back, right outside the ring. I punched into his general direction, sending a ball of water shooting out of the ring and onto him. His reflexes were faster than mine and he was gone before the water could reel him in the face."Jesus!" Virgil yelped as the ball of water hit him in the face instead. This sent him falling back into a surprised Patton, who caught him before he could hit the concrete.

The earpiece clicked on again, "Guys I repeat L-" It cut out again. What was he trying to say?

I felt a presence behind and drew my sword. It left its sheath with a satisfying metallic noise before I flipped my stance to slash at my foe, but I stopped mid-swing. The snake stopped my sword, holding the sharp blade by the edge. I couldn't see it cut through his glove, but I did see a sharp line of blood run out from his yellow glove and drip off his elbow. My face went pale at the sight.

This time he didn't get a chance to tease me before he flew backward. "Eat gravity!" Patton yelled as he flew into the closest tree. It only took a second for both Patton and Virgil to reach my side. Virgil was still drenched.

The man ran back first into a tree with a loud thud. He pulled himself off the tree, glaring at Patton momentarily before the tree began to fall. He glanced up momentarily before rolling away from the trunk. He vanished into thin air before finishing the roll.

"Holy shit, this man must be fucking Sanders Clause...And bitchmas came early this year," I huffed. A manic laugh filled the air, forcing both me and Patton to cover our ears. That didn't work. I made out the muffled shot of a gun and turned my attention to Virgil. I felt my heart flutter at the sight.

Virgil stood, his hair sticking to him thanks to my previous mistake. The wind had slowed just enough with the sun to capture the sight. His gun was tossed beside him but that didn't stop him from lifting the villain to his eye level. Virgil looked so...bad ass!

"Listen here you psychopathic piece of shit," Virge growled. The man didn't teleport, but he did smile. If Virgil was messing him up from the inside he didn't show it. "What did you do to Logan?"
