"What did you do to Logan," Virgil asked him, gripping him tighter as he spat what we were all thinking. I stood wearily to the side with my hands out, ready to crush him into the floor if he made any sudden movements.

Roman was closer to the pair drawing water as he waited for an answer. I had to mentally remind myself over and over that the stranger being held before me was a villain. This was difficult when tears fell down his checks. Courtesy of Virgil's manipulation.

The ere smile paired with the falling tears and dead still position sent a shiver up my back. The snake's chin rested on his chest until Virgil shook him. This forced a wider smile out of him. "You sure? You might not like what you find." He warned. I took a few steps closer in order to hear his fading tone. Virgil didn't respond, but only gripped him tighter.

Then my vision went blurry wish the sudden flash of lightning. "Very well." Were the only words I heard as I stumbled backward, rubbing my eyes.

I heard Roman scream as my vision cleared. Everything happened so fast, like the wind flailing my cape in all directions...So fast. A bolt of lightning fell from the sky, seemingly pointing for Virgil... However, Roman, who was lifting water, conducted the electricity to him, causing him to drop the water on himself as the bolt shot through him instead. The sword he held loosely in his other hand clashed onto the concrete ground as he sunk to his knees.

"Roman!" I shouted, running to his side. Virgil did the same, grabbing the gun before he reached us. I knelt beside Roman and observed him. His jaw was locked tight as he cradled his arm. The arm itself with burnt red, with an even darker bolt trailing down his arm. That must've been how it went through him. I didn't dare touch it.

"...Guys?" Virgil chimed in. Roman was slow, but when he did catch Virgil's word he lifted his head. I followed his gaze...

The figure stood from a safe distance, standing beside a familiar figure. "Logan?" I chocked. Despite my claim, the leader wasn't himself anymore. His skin was deathly pale and his mind seemed distant. Like he was caught looking into space too long and got stuck that way. The scariest feature were his eyes that looked off in a dim yellow. My child.

"Logan?" I repeated. With caution, I stood at a snail pace feeling like I was approaching a scared animal. Approach it slowly.

Despite my efforts, Logan tapped his foot, sending another bolt of lightning crashing only a few feet away. He couldn't do that before. As if reading my thoughts the snake answered. "New isn't it? never knew it could be done until you give it the old college try."

"What did you do to my child?" I snapped.

The snake rose a brow as he tilted his head. "Oh this," He started, turning Logan's chin he faces him like a mindless doll. The action made me growl. "Just a little something I whipped up. It's splendid, isn't it?"

Roman, who was standing protected behind us shakily got to his feet and aligned with me and Virgil, although he leaned on Virgil for extra support. "What'ch you do?" Roman started. "Built yourself a little snow bitch? Well, congrats you did it," He growled, "Now give him back."

"I don't think he wants to go back, isn't that right Logan?" There was a moment of silence. "No, of course not," Logan replied. The villain beamed at this. "What a brilliant mind," He commented, circling Logan like a something in a museum. "How did such a leader, become so weak." He slapped Logan across the face and his head snapped to the side. Despite this, he didn't respond.

"Leave him alone! What's even wrong with you? Why are you doing this?"

The yellow bandit didn't say anything, but he bowed. Taking his hat off before lightning clapped behind him and he was gone. Logan was gone.

"What did he want?" Thomas asked himself for the hundredth time. We watched in defeat as he paced the room.

"No idea, but Lo's now got this weird lightning thingy. The nerd now shoots lightning and he was using us as target practice." Virgil responded. Bang, bang, bang, his ball bounced off the wall and back into his hands for him to toss again.

"This isn't right, Logan isn't like this. He'd never-not him." I added. Patton lifted his head at this, "He was being mind controlled." He deadpanned, everyone, shot him a look. This included Thomas, who questioned him further. Patton sighed, "I saw his eyes from the distance...they were yellow, just like the victim from the central lab...It's the only explanation."

Thomas shook his head, "Bu-But that's not possible-" Think again Tom." Remy interupted as he entered the room. "The lab just called back, you might wanna check this out."
