"Broom!" My senses chimed to the roar of my motorcycle engine. I entered the world kneeled toward the ground and quickly rose to my feet. Thomas, who was laying on the ground, shot up and got to his feet. The officer dusted himself off once on his feet, mumbling as he did so.

"How was the 2D experience?" I chuckled, unlatching a helmet from the back and tossing is toward Thomas.

"Can't say I'm a fan," He smiled, catching the helmet with quick reflexes. "It's the kind of experience I don't regret but like dying, I'd only ever experience it once." He glanced back to Virgil and the bike before tilting his head with curiosity. "Don't you need a helmet?" He questioned, clicking his helmet on. I shrugged.

"If you crash, you'd break your skin on the concrete like a paintbrush, I'd just fall through it." I patted on the seat beside me, rushing Thomas to get on.

My mentor sighed, "I was feeling good today Virgil," He mumbled. He hopped onto the bike with me with a cautious and concerned look in his eyes. "Okay, guess we're going to the water and sewage plant, right?"

"Why there?"

"Valorie said the substance was being run through the water pipes. Somethings being filtered into them, and it's one of the few places far enough to be considered inconspicuous. None of our forces would have searched that side of Washington. They have to be there."

I roared the engine a few times before riding off. I started off slow for Thomas's sake but quickly picked up the pace. "Valorie!" I hollered over the engine, "Take us to the Washington sewage plant!"I could barely hear it give me a reply but a GPS flashed onto my glass screen for my convenience.

"Quick question Virgil, how fast can this thing go?"

"Do you want me to test that out?"

There was a pause, and I think Thomas glanced behind us. "No, but I think they do."

I dared to look back, my anxiety spiking when I decided to take my eyes off the road. People were emerging from the allies, from the building, from the cars. If they weren't watching us, they were trying to chase after us. My heart pounded at this.

"Oh shit!" I yelped, pressing the gas. "What has he done?"

A chuckle emitted from within the yellow figure as he watched America's capital begin tumbling to the ground. The utopia was slowly manifesting into life.

A door could be heard creaking open from behind him. He didn't need to glance behind him to tell who was approaching, he could tell by the formal steps, the softness of the steps and the musical rhythm. It was Roman. For even though they lacked control, repetition from deep within, made them the walking shadows of their past.

Deceit clasped his hands at this, the perfect timing opting itself for action. "How generous of you Roman to finally join us."

A pause followed deceit's statement, prompting the snake to turn toward the anti-hero. Roman kneeled at his feet, head down and a sword pinning its sharp edge into the ground. If the scene wasn't so sinister you'd almost think Roman was paying respects to a loved one. Maybe deep down, he hoped he was.

For a few seconds Roman just shook. He shook until nothing else could work and he completely fell victim to the nanobot latched inside him. His muscles finally relaxed, and with a swift jolt of his head he was eyeing Deceit with the yellow eyes he adored so much.

"It's a pleasure to be working with you, my king."

"Will you follow my orders?"

"Whatever it is you assist of me."

"Thank you...they'll be here soon."

"Understood."

Deceit smiled mischievously, crouching down to Roman's level. The snake held Roman's head in place with his gloved hand. He did this knowing that the Real Roman within was fighting a pointless battle. Deceit wanted Roman to truly watch as his plan unfolded.

"You understand?"

"I understand."

"Then break them, Thomas is useless to me, but we need Virgil alive. Understood?"Roman paused, trying his hardest not to obey.

"...Of course, my king."
