Soooooo close to Part Four! I can't believe I've written three chapters today??? How??? Anyway, as always, enjoy reading!
Jon stood over Damian in the training deck. He had finally managed to knock him down. "Ha! In your face Damian!" Damian groaned but smirked.
"In yours!" He spun around on the ground and tripped Jon with his leg. As Jon fell, Damian leaped to his feet. "I'll have to teach you that one, huh?" He said. He reached out a hand to help Jon up. Jon took it. "Again."
The boys sparred for hours. Jon was no longer too tired to quit. After Jon had mastered the tripping move, Damian stopped him. "Ok, no more hand to hand combat," he said. "You'll have to go against people with weapons." He grabbed his sword and got into position. "You ready?"
Jon gulped but nodded. Could he go up against someone with a weapon? He got into position as well and signaled that he was ready to start. With a smirk, Damian speeded towards him, ready to swing. Jon jumped over him, kicking Damian in the back as he went. "That was dirty!" Damian exclaimed with a smile. He charged again, but his time he wouldn't hold back. Pretending to slash one way, he attacked on the other, faking Jon out. Jon barely ducked under the blade in time as he leapt away, regaining his posture.
Damian took the opportunity to flip over to him and swing the sword directly over Jon's head. In a panic, Jon reached up and caught the sword by the blade, startling both himself and Damian. Damian almost stopped the attack when he saw that he had actually made contact with Jon, but once he saw that Jon was fine, he began to push in again. Jon grabbed the sword with his other hand as well and bent the metal with his bare hands, yelling as he did. Damian just stared; he was shocked. Letting go of the handle, the sword fell to the floor, now bent in two like a paperclip.
While Damian starred at Jon, Jon starred at his hands, amazed at his strength. Have I always been able to do that?
"Jon, that was incredible," Damian said, still shocked. "Your super strength is really developing..."
"I don't know where that came from!" Jon panicked. "I'm sorry if I hurt you by accident!"
"Jon, what are you talking about?! This is great!" Damian smiled and pumped his fist. "Yes! We're gonna be so much better than our fathers!"
"I hope so," Jon said. "The villains are only getting worse!"
"It doesn't matter," Damian said. "We'll beat them all." He opened his arms for a hug and Jon rushed in, wrapping his arms around Damian. "You're going to be an incredible Teen Titan," he said into Jon's ear.
"Thanks Damian." The boys let go of each other and Damian went to pick up another sword.
"Ok, now let's see if you can do it again!"
