Um... why do I have over 1,000 reads on this story? That's crazy! Thank you all so much for reading Saving The Heart, and I'm only gonna keep writing! Please check out my other story, What The Screens Hide. It's not a fan fiction, but I think you'll like it anyway. Without further ado, here's Part Three Chapter One!
Jon was sweating. His clothes felt tight on his body and his head was buzzing all over the place. His eyes were focused on Damian as he tried to stay sane. The world was spinning as Damian drew closer...
Bam!
Jon was knocked to the floor. Damian stood over him, sword in hand and frown on face. The boys were in the Wayne training room, practicing in their workout clothes. "Jon, you're gonna need to start taking this training a lot more seriously if you wanna become a Teen Titan next year," Damian said, reaching out a hand. Jon took it and stood up, trying to regain his composure.
"Yeah, yeah, I know," Jon answered. He tried to hide his tiredness as Damian stared at him, but failed to fool him.
"Let's take a break," Damian said. The boys left the training deck and went upstairs into the mansion. They entered the living room and collapsed on the couch just as Tim, Damian's older adopted brother walked into the kitchen, which was visible from the living room.
"Training?" Tim asked as he pulled out instant ramen from the cabinet. His hair was pulled into a tiny ponytail in the back and he sported a red T-shirt and black boxers. Almost 19, Tim clearly gave no care to his appearance as he poured some hot water into the cup. Damian rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, we're taking a break," Jon answered. He wasn't too familiar with Damian's brothers, but he saw them around pretty often. The one he knew most was Dick, and he was his favorite. Tim put the ramen into the microwave and leaned over the counter.
"Don't let him go easy on you. You're the only one he does it to, but don't take advantage of it," Tim said to Jon.
"What are you talking about? I don't go easy on him!" Damian protested.
"You are literally taking a break. You never take breaks. You two must be close or something." The time went off on the microwave and Tim moved back to open it and retrieve his ramen.
"He just thought I would fight better if was taken out of the familiar environment for a few minutes," Jon offered.
Tim ripped open the flavor packet and poured it into the ramen. "Nope," he said without looking up.
"I knew you'd be up here so I came to laugh at your ugly face," Damian scowled.
"Nope." Tim was stirring the ramen now.
"Damian was just getting bored of beating me," Jon said, desperately trying to hide the blush on his face. Damian sported a similar look.
"More likely, but still no." Tim smiled and picked up the ramen, sticking a fork into it. He shoved a forkful into his mouth as he walked out of the kitchen and towards the stairs. "Later."
The boys waited until they heard Tim's door close to even move. "Do you think he knows?" Jon whispered anxiously.
"Knowing Tim," Damian said with a frown, "probably." The boys stared at each other for a moment before Damian stood up. "Okay, enough chilling. Let's get back to the deck."
