I don't even know what to say in these introductions anymore. Enjoy the chapter blah blah blah Super Sons is adorable blah blah love you guys!
The convertible pulled into the park's parking lot. A traveling carnival had stopped in Metropolis and had set up there. "Thanks for the ride, Alfred," Damian said as the boys got out of the car.
"No problem, Master Damian," Alfred replied. Damian closed the door and turned to Jon. This date was his special treat and he really wanted Jon to have a good time. He had noticed Jon's mood lately, and hoped this would lift his spirits. He had promised himself he would be super nice to Jon today, no matter what.
"So what are we gonna do?" Jon asked. "It looks like there's a lot."
"Whatever you want, Jon," Damian said with a smile. Jon narrowed his eyes.
"Are you sick or something?"
"No, I'm not sick! These things just don't interest me that much so you should choose."
"Well in that case..." Jon looked around. The park was super crowded with people, and he could barely see anything. "Oh, we should play a game first!" The pair walked over to a water squirting target game.
"One game, please," Damian told the girl working at the stand and handed him $5. The girl handed him two water guns and got ready to flip the switch.
"Ok, try and hit the target for as long as possible, good luck," she said in a monotone voice. The boys got ready to squirt. "Ready, set, go."
She flipped the switch and the boys fired at the targets. Damian's never left the bullseye, which was expected. Jon's only missed about twice, since he was so used to aiming his heat vision. The girl's eyes widened as she watched them. A small crowd was even forming around the boys as they blasted the targets. The time ran out and the crowd clapped. "Wow," the girl said. "That's definitely worth a prize." She handed them the top prize and went on to work with the next costumer.
"That was awesome!" Jon said and he held the gigantic stuffed dog they had won.
"Yeah," Damian replied. "Imagine all the other prizes we could win if we-"
"Damian!?"
The boys looked a few yards ahead of them to see Tim and Conner standing and holding hands. Conner gave Jon a small wave and Jon smiled and waved back. "Drake!? What are you doing here?" Damian asked as the two pairs met.
"I'm just hanging out with Conner!"
"More like ruining our date!"
Jon gave Conner an apologetic look, but Conner just looked annoyed with the two. He was clearly used to this routine.
"Look, just leave us alone!" Damian spat at Tim.
"As if I wanted to bump into your demonic face!" Tim reached down and aggressively grabbed Conner's hand. "We're leaving."
"So are we!" Damian reached down and did the same, taking Jon by surprise. The two pairs marched away in opposite directions and that was that. "I'm sorry about that, Jon," Damian said.
"It's fine, but why do you guys hate each other so much?"
"It's not that I... that's not important. What's important is our date. Let's go!"
"But where are we going?!" Jon asked as Damian started dragging him away.
"Anywhere but here!"
