"But I don't wanna!" Keith pouted, crossing his arms in a defiant way. It looked way too cute to be legal from the seven-year-old Omega. Shiro couldn't help but laugh out loud as their mother scowled deeply at them.

"Keith~" she cooed, trying to get the small boy to look at her. She knelt down, putting her weight on her toes as she tucked her chin over her knees. Her ponytail swayed as she quirked her head to the side, trying to meet eyes with Keith, but the tiny Omega wouldn't relent.

Shiro could've died of laughter, his phone was in his hand now, not even hiding that he was recording the whole ordeal with the other hand clamped over his mouth. He was trying and failing to keep in the laughter, it hurt so bad that tears had sprung to his eye.

"C'mon Keith, you need to make some friends. You can't just hang out with Shiro and his friends all the time, he's got a life with them too," Krolia said, moving her face closer to her youngest son.

Keith ignored his mother for a moment as he turned back and glared at Shiro who immediately put his phone away. He might've been an ass sometimes but he knew when to stop teasing his little brother.

"Does it bother you when I hang out with you and your friends? Am I annoying?" the smaller boy asked.

Shiro's eyes widened in surprise and he smiled softly at his stupid little brother while wiping away the comedic tears. "Of course not buddy, it's just that, sense we're older, we get to do more things than you. But if we're with you we kinda can't. And that's not really a problem, my friends seem to like you better than me, but you also gotta learn how to make your own friends."

"But why?" Keith pouted, squishing his small face downward into a scowl.

"Well, because whether any of us like it or not, your going to be on your own at some point and need to turn to people who aren't your family." Shiro knelt down by his brother and ruffled his hair, making the Omega huff out in annoyance, but he didn't stop the taller Alpha. Shiro just smiled amusedly.

"And hey, you know, Shiro's introducing you to Matt's little sister. You like hanging out with Matt don't you?" Krolia asked, having stood up and come up behind Shiro. Her eldest son was only thirteen but he was gaining on her in height too quick for comfort.

Keith simply nodded at her question.

"You know, Katie is only a year younger than you, and she's practically a little Matt. You're going to love hanging out with her!" Shiro smiled. "She's also friends with two other boys your age, I'm pretty sure you're going to meet them today at the park. So, are you ready to go?"

Keith nodded again, not meeting anyone's eyes. He couldn't stop thinking about making a bad impression on them. Couldn't stop thinking about how he would put them off and they would hate him. His hands were sweating and his brows were creased together. He couldn't stop the nervousness from spreading through his chest, like a bad butterfly.

That's what he always called it, the bad butterfly. Not plural, just one expanding its wings until it wrapped itself across his entire being. It's large, inky, dark wings that wouldn't let up it's grip. The bad butterfly was always with him.

Then suddenly they were at the park. And suddenly there was no Shiro, just Krolia at a distance. And suddenly there were three other children surrounding him. It was a few moments later when he realized that they were looking at him like they expected something.

"S... sorry. What?" he stuttered.

"We asked what your name was," the girl who looked familiar said.
