*Rainy's POV*

I got up and yawned. "Hey Rainy, we need to get you registered for school!" I heard Dad say. I gulped, "School?!?!?!" I questioned. "Yeah you didn't think summer would last forever did ya?" He asked. I shook my head. He sat down on my bed, realizing this was a touchy subject.

"Okay so here's what we're going to do, we're going to put you in public school, see how you like it, it too many people recognize you or you don't like it or something bad happens we'll put you in online school like Trevor does, how does that sound?" He asked.

I nodded, "Okay." He patted my leg, "It's gonna be fine." I nodded. He left and I got changed into a pink skirt, a white shirt, and didn't put on shoes because yeah no I don't like shoes.

I went downstairs and got some cereal. "Hey Rainy, your dad, Connor, Ricky, and I are taking you to the school for registration today so go get some shoes on our appointment is at 9," Mom said.

I finished my cereal and put my bowl in the sink. I sighed and went upstairs to grab my converse. I pulled on my white converse and grabbed my phone and went back downstairs.

We got in the car and I sat in the back with Connor and Ricky. I would be going into 6th grade. We drove to the junior high and got out of the car. Dad led the way. I grabbed Connor and Ricky's hands and we made our way into the big building.

We went to the front office and we sat down. "Rainy Lawley?" A lady at the front desk said. Dad got up and got the paperwork and him and mom filled it out. I played games on my phone while they filled out all the paperwork.

They finally finished and gave it to the front desk lady and we went back to an office. There were for seats at the table, one of which a lady was sitting in, and three on the wall. Connor and Ricky sat in the chairs against the wall and Mom, Dad and I sat in the ones at the table.

"Okay so we have Rainy here?" The lady asked. "Yes," Mom said. The lady nodded, "Well I'm Mrs. Tallon, I'm the vice principal at John Quincy Adams Middle School," She continued. "Okay, so how are her grades?"

"Well, we just adopted her so she did school at an orphanage so how were your grades Rainy?" Dad asked me. I sighed, wishing he hadn't brought up the fact that I was adopted. "Uh, well I normally got 90s and 80s," I said. "So A's and B's," Mrs. Tallon said.

"Um I guess," I said. "Okay, so you're going into the sixth grade right?" She asked. I nodded. She nodded. "Does she need to be in advanced math?" Mrs. Tallon asked.

I shook my head. "Okay we'll put her in regular math and if she needs to be moved up we can move get up," She said.

She handed me a sheet of paper, "Okay, so here's your schedule, you'll have Mrs. Dugger for English and Language Arts, Mrs. Jones for Math, Mrs. Thompson for Science, and Mr. Adams for world history."

I nodded. "Thank you very much Mrs. Tallon," Mom said. She shook all our hands. "Oh and are these boys over here two of her emergency contacts?" She asked. "Oh um yes ma'am they are," Dad said. She nodded, writing something down.

We went back into the car and drove home.

*Home*

We came back home to Jc and Lia kissing, and wishbone sitting on the couch, staring at them. I did a fake couch and they jumped apart. "Oh um sorry," Jc said.

*The first day of school.*

My alarm went off and I got out of bed. I sighed. I put on a floral knee length dress with my white converse a white headband in my hair. I went downstairs and ate a poptart then waited for someone to get up to take me to school. Connor came down a few minutes later holding Ricky's car keys. He was wearing grey sweatpants and a tshirt with white toms.

"Okay let's go," he said spinning the keys on his finger. We got in the car and drove to the school. "You'll be fine," he said. "Everyone keeps saying that, I wish I could believe it though," I said.

He sighed. "I know how hard it is being the new kid, never been to a real school. I went to private school my whole life until high school and that was a huge change, I didn't know anybody at all, look at me I'm just fine."

I smiled a bit. We pulled up and Connor kissed my head. "I love ya Rainster do good today and remember if anyone offers you drugs say no."

I gave him a weird look but hugged him, laughing. I grabbed my backpack and slung it over my shoulder shutting the door. I took a deep breath and waved to Connor as he left the school parking lot.

"You can do this Rainy," I whispered to myself as I walked into the building. When I got to my locker, I thought I heard someone say, "Is that Kian and Andrea's daughter?"

Great, someone already recognized me and I haven't even been in the school for five minutes.
