Chapter 25

*Rainy's POV*

I walked out of school and got a text from Aaron. It read, "hey it's Aaron, just texting you so you'd have my number, what's up?" I saved his number as "Aaron 🙈"

I texted him back, "Just trying to find Ricky's car, what about you?" I finally found Ricky's orange Kia and walked to it. I got in and got a text. "How was your day?" Dad asked. "Eh, it was okay other than my teacher showing my video to everyone in the classroom," I said.

He sighed, "I'm sorry sweetheart." I checked my phone and saw the text Aaron had sent me, "On the hell they call transportation aka the bus."

I laughed and texted him back, "Lol."

"Who are you texting?" Dad asked."My friend Aaron," I replied. "Hmm," he said suspiciously.

I laughed, "Dad he's just a friend." He nodded, "I know, I know, so other than that how was your first day of seventh grade?" he asked.

"Uh well I met this girl named Steph she's really nice, Mrs. Bit-, I mean Mrs. Jackson sent her into the bathroom to check on me because I ran out of the room crying," I said.

"Oh alright uh well it's good you made some friends did you make any in band?" He asked. "Nope I just made two friends," I said.

"Well, that's good, at least you made some friends," he said starting to drive. We got home and I slung my backpack onto the couch and slumped down next to Connor.

"Hey Rainy," he said. "How was school?"

"It was good, can I talk to you for a second?" I asked him. "Yeah sure of course," he said. "Well, how old were you when you went on your first date," I said.

"Well I think I was your age about 12 why?" he asked. "Well, because this boy in my class, Aaron, asked me to go to a movie with him Friday, and how do I ask dad?" I asked him.

"Well, just say "hey Daddy, um my friend asked me to go to them movies with him Friday and Connor promised to go with us, so do you think I could go?" Just say that he most likely won't say no," Connor said.

I nodded, "Okay I'll ask him later." He put a hand on my shoulder, "Good luck."
