Maybe if crime didn't exist, we'd all be safer and, presumably, happier. But if crime didn't exist, those with naturalistic, criminal minds would have to live in fear of destroying themselves in order to keep everyone else safe. Sometimes, crime is required for those who can't survive without it. After all, it was essential that we devoured the fudge, right?
You 'shushed 'me and I blindly obeyed, trusting that you knew what you were getting us into. You smiled, a devilish smile, and hid the fudge bar in your back pocket. Before I knew it, you were on the floor, coughing in such a manner that even a drama specialist would have been left dumbfounded by your actions.
You winked at me and I urgently began calling for help. Indeed, help came and we were given a bottle of water and hastily rushed out, in fear that your 'illness' would spread.
I exhaled dramatically and laughed, pulling you into a tight hug. The fudge bar didn't matter, dear.
You did.
