When I look at you, all I see is a life full of potential and pain. That's a wondering topic, don't you think? Someone in pain can have so much potential, yet pain can also devalue one's potential. I'm beginning to wonder if that is what happened to you; maybe it is what happened to us.

The workshop was ginormous. Your bear was scrumptiously stuffed and soon, mine would be too. The way you cuddled up close to her made me question where your loyalties began and ended. To a person or to your imagination? Maybe love wasn't your thing, maybe teddy bears were.

You whispered something in its ear whilst lifting your gaze to meet mine. I smiled and waved at you. The lady handed me my bear and I beamed at its eyes, the black pearls beckoning me closer.

If only we were teddy bears.

If only we were mosquitoes.
