All we did today was walk. We just walked on and on and on, until we'd reached the end of the world. And it felt amazing. To be standing at the edge of eternity with you by my side, dear; it was all that I ever wanted. But we're not children. These dreams are nothing but dreams. The hurt hurts and the world hates. We are hated. We are loved. We are us.

The lady in the pub caught your attention, drawing you closer to her. It was around eleven p.m. and we were supposed to be having a movie marathon with your sister tonight. Well, I was, at least. We were to watch so many movies, eat so much popcorn and laugh so hard until we fell asleep. So, I prioritised your sister over you, as one just casually does. I tightly gripped onto your arm and tugged you closer towards me, politely smiling at you. You scoffed and pulled away. This way, that way, this way, that way.

Abruptly, I stopped, earning a challenging look from you.

I walked back home alone that night.
